Goldfish's bench players proved to be the difference which resulted in a convincing win over the Maggots.
Again Western Titan's with a deep bench had an easy 28 point win over JW allstars.
The Pwnage pawned the Possums hard with a cool 16 point win.
Kynlala Knight's 2-man team were no match for a hungry TeamAkuma who were looking for their first win of the season.
Eggplant nearly stole a win from SAS. A win cements SAS at the top of the table with Koops.
With both teams playing just 7 players, Koops starters took an early lead over the Cowboys and never looked back.
Viral Infections fielded a 5 man team and riddled with foul trouble lost to the City Celtics.
Da Fat Boy Slim goes over the top in this arm wrestle of LI/m2m over the Seagulls.

After week 4, there was no movement on the points tally. XBB holds a firm lead with 3 quarters of the season left.
Kynlala Knights' Dellasta leads the league in scoring followed closely by Koops back court of Rooney and Shipp.
SAS's Smelts leads the league with over 20 rebs per game, Dellasta and JW's bigs are up there as well.
Rooney continues to lead the league in assists after leading the league in assists least season.

Notable mentions are Naker struggling on zero wins and JW sitting on 3 wins but with 12 weeks remaining anything can happen. Injuries and long playoff campaigns will be the deciding factor in shuffling the current standings around.

Well it is much better to catch up than fall behind so the IV.7 Calamari are heading in the right direction, however some would say that the only way was up. Again Koopasaurus looks dominant two games clear in first place however for the first time in living memory the XBB only has 2 teams in the top 4 with regular "top fish" Melbourne Goldfish" being joined by the surging Western Titans.

Well this is the season of the Koopasaur. Seemingly unbeatable he has swept all opposition away. After their early form JW has crashed back into the bottom half of the table. SASTROOPERS and DFBS are back to their old excellent form and are looking like top quality teams. For the Calamari the Naker Virus just can't get a break, funny that he can win games in division II but not in this league against division III opponents. Meanwhile the Kynlala Knights are back with a fantastic win over the consistently disapointing and very quiet City Celtics. The Cowboys from Hell took a great win over the Goldfish to lead the IV.7 team for the first time putting the Goldfish from 2nd spot to 5th, no "team tanking" on this side just an honest competition with everyone doing their best. Can the Calamari fight back or are they Shark food? Find out next week.

So the scores are back to where they were in week 7. The IV.7 Calamari have started to catch up a bit and make the league a bit more competetive. Cowboys, Seagulls and Titans are all headed in the right direction. A pity that the hapless Viral Infections can't seem to win a game. Close every week but never good enough.

Well what a week. It was special in a couple of ways. Koopasaurus continued his unbeaten run and at 10-0 with 5 weeks to go looks almost certain to be te minor premier. The Virus had his first win of the season, showing the quality of our league considering he is mid-table in division II. And again the Calamari have clawed back a tiny bit against the Sharks. 5 weeks to go and with Naker and Iwen no longer tanking is it possible for them to rise a little. The bad news is the rapid drops of SASTROOPERS and Melbourne Goldfish who were expected to be in the top 4, instead they have both lost two in a row and are languishing mid-table. This is perhaps the mid-level division II factor, teams are keen to avoid the relegation games so do flog their game shape and enthusiasm a bit. 5 weeks to go and there are probably 7 teams still with a chance to take on the mighty Koopasaurus in the final. Who will it be?
