Does height play a factor in a player? I mean, is a 6'4" PF with the same ratings as a 6'9" PF weaker due to lack of height?

no the skills count, but the 6,9" PF would train the most important skills faster.

because of the height? so what you're saying is that height plays a factor in a player's development?

Yes.

A taller player trains faster in inside skills, while a shorter player trains faster in outside skills.

oh, ok. So that means players whose skills are like a center or PF but are only about the height of a SG(e.g. 6'4" PF) are less wanted? What would be the appropriate strategy for players like these?

making then an SF ;) There are already good in Insideskills, have some Outside Skills(else they would be center) and could learn these fast.

Or you could buy then for a cheaper price and so you could aford better starting skills, so that you could sell him after a season or 2 with the same skills then a bigger and more expensive guy + you got a better player at the beginning.

Edit: but i wonn't want to use then as life time trainees.

You can continue to train them in the skills that they already possess, but it will happen somewhat slower.

You could also start training them in height-appropriate skills and turn them into a well-rounded player.

The skill ratings can be considered to have already taken height into account. A player who is 7'4 and can tie his shoelaces might be as good a rebounder as a 5'2 player who has good leaping ability, timing, strength, positioning, strength, etc.

But the 7'4 player will be able to improve his rebounding skill more (for example after he sees his first basketball game), while the smaller player will be much closer to his physical limits.

Is it all inside and outside skills or just rebounding and handling? I thought I only have seen those two mentioned but that could have been as examples. If so where does driving fall into?

I don't have anything concrete to build this off of.

But, since driving and handling are secondary to each other, even if driving wasn't affected by height, the bonus to handling would not be as strong as if it were a shorter player.
