What does DMI and TSP mean for a player and what is the difference between the two? Also, when bidding on players should I be going by DMI or by TSP? Thank you in advanced for your help or advice.

DMI represents how well a player is going to play in the upcoming game. But never go strictly off of it as it's really just a rough estimation. NEVER use it as a tool when buying players as it goes up and down radically with Game Shape.

TSP - Total skill points. Just adds up the number of skill points a player has.

When buying players, skill location is more important than TSP. For instance, if you need a PG, a PG with only 90 TSP, 20 OD, and 15 PA is going to be better than a 100 TSP with 15 OD and 11 PA player.

Yes, but there is one exception: proficient (9) game shape, which does not have sublevels and is always optimal. If a trainee keeps proficient game shape week after week, growth of DMI is a sign that the training is (still) effective. (Helps with the players near the limit of their potential.)

ty, that is what I also concluded. I keep track of the DMI for my players and I've noticed that it drops for non-trainees over 25 and that drop doubles for 28-29 year old players. This is my data for the current and last week's DMI for players that had game shape 9 in both weeks:

DMI decreases for Non-trainees:
M. Mussche, age 25, went from 138400 to 138200, a decrease by -0,0015
F. Whatley, age 28, went from 108700 to 108400, a decrease by -0,0028

Though at a very slow rate, Whatley's DMI decrease is ~ x2 faster than Mussche's.

DMI for trainees is increasing at a significantly faster pace, the younger the better:
C. Fulton, age 18, from 41700 to 43800, an increase by +0,05
D. Torrats, age 19, from 57400 to 59700, an increase by +0.04

That's awesome. I have a question: does the GS resets at the same sub-level for all players in the off-season (the default GS and DMI)?

I believe the answer is yes, but I don't have proof.
If a player never receives any training (including Stamina and Free Throw), and you can make sure both Stamina and Free Throw stay the same (with a level 6 nutritionist and no Training Court), then you can compare the DMI after the first training update of each season to see if it is the same.

I thought Redemption Monk was asking whether, after the Game Shape reset, every player's Game Shape is reset to the same value (including the sub-level), for example, 7.5, though I might be wrong.
