Well looks like we’ve gotta start Season 51 with a tough matchup. I haven’t even gotten a chance to boost up my guys game shape against some bots first !

It's not how you start that matters. It's how you finish.

We're in year 2 of a rebuild, so not much to expect. It will take at least 2 more seasons before the team is ready to compete. But with 3 live teams on our side and 4 on the Great 8 side, we'll all probably make the playoffs. Just hoping for some easy draws in the Cup.

after a draw in this Cup round of the 79th ranked team in the US, i was sure to be scheduling a scrimmage today. But after deciding to play my first team to get them some action vs a strong team, they managed to pull out the win. My next draw is a much more even match, with that said, we will probably take an L.

You never know.

Many upper echelon teams carry bare bones squads. I lost by 4 to the 28th rated US team. It wasn't his "A" team for sure. If I had done a couple of things differently, it would have been a win.

A big part of the game is how you manage the roster. Winning a Cup game may not be worth wrecking your game shape for the league. It's always good to look at previous games to see how they play it.

Not sure how I get 5 players on the All Star team when I have no one in the top 10 in any category.

On top of that,my guy with the highest TSP didn't make the team.

Regardless, we are doomed. My guys are usually better on defense and that isn't good for an ASG.

my best player Joyner didn't make the team despite playing really well.

And we’re down to only two active teams on one side.

Kind of takes the piss out of the season. Really hard to balance minutes when you have so many blowouts. And it makes that one playoff game super important. You can dominate for a whole season, lose in the conference final and it becomes kind of a lost season.

Not a fan of how they handle teams going bot (or bankrupt). In other games I've played, they always handle it at the end of the season. Makes it a little less game breaking.

I mean personally for me it makes training weeks very easy to manage and allows me to get a bit wild with my lineups since there’s no fear of losing. But as far as the actual enjoyment of the game it does kinda suck losing a lot of that competition and drive for the season and it does make it tougher to know how actually ready you are to move to league III

Nice game Miami. Kinda stinks to lose on a FT like that, but I guess that's what home court is for. Didn't get to see the whole game, but it looked very close in the 4th quarter.

Haha thanks man. Yeah, what a weird finish. SG got fouled, picked up the and-1 and hit the FT.
