Hello guys, I am a new manager here, I currently fired a bunch of players I dont need and am shopping for young players with high potential. Someone told me not to buy any yet as the season is going to end in a couple weeks and they will all age/lose a year. Also I am looking to buy an advanced trainer. After I make these purchases in the next couple weeks I want to start upgrading my arena.
Im reading up more on the forums and game manual and trying to understand this game. Any other tips/advice for a newbie at this stage? Or things I should know?

Thank you for the feedback guys. Currently bidding on an advanced trainer with a salary of $12k I don't want to spend over 50k on one you think that will be enough? Also im trying to figure out how to price my tickets but have nothing to compare to... Is it just a guess and test few games until i get the right price or is there a formula? Thanks again!
*Update* I got that Advanced no specialty $12k salary trainer for $21k, thoughts opinions?

I agree on everything but the doctor, not worth a penny for him yet !
and investing for the draft is probably a bit late, he'll have to rely on luck and the transfer market afterwards.

But mostly, read read read and read the forums to get a hang on the game and don't get rebuked by early losses ;)

Another important thing is managing players' game shapes. Try to aim for 50-70 minutes per week.
