When a game is close, the GE has a trend to let the first choice play the game. This can let a players play the whole 48 minutes regardless of the salary or the talent of the substitutes. In that sense it follows your orders to the letter ("Coach was strictly following my orders.").

So often that i rather choose "Coach Picks from Depths charts" if my goal is to preserve the minutes played by the substitute over the week. I use "striclty follow depth charts" if i want to ensure a high number of minutes played for a starter.

Once i said that, i have also to say that each season is different. Your players are different, the opposition is different. The observation of one week might differ from another week just because the opposition is stronger or weaker, or because your players are stronger -due to training- or weaker -due to their age lowering their skills.

Can someone explain please why was Gal Haverman(PG) substituted in only in the 4 quarter but in game order he was directly substituting my PG. It has never before happend to me. Coach was strictly following my orders.

In addition to what is already said, the starter probably has too high stamina, especially with a slow offense. The worst combination is high stamina, slow offense, low fouls and few times where the ball is thrown out of bounds, since that may mean there's not even an opportunity for substitution for long stretches of time unless a coach calls a timeout.
