Congratulations to Canada's only ever champion, BC Törööö, who took the I.1 title for the 4th straight season.

I thought I had an outside shot (no pun intended) at taking this one, but no such luck: (4231800). I think it's going to be a while before anyone else wins one... assuming jbmcrock doesn't lose interest, it's probably going to take some luck until we get to the point where BB has matured enough that top teams will be running into some sort of effective wage cap. That's probably at least a couple of seasons away.

yeah, i didn't get to watch the last two games either. but thanks for the congratulations, and likewise, congratulations on your season (one game from winning it all).

i guess you saw my latest purchase - i really needed to upgrade outside d (with lavioltte in mind). the extra season certainly was helpful to get an edge over most everyone - although i do owe a lot to my lucky ot win over the molson canadians in season 2. each season is becoming more competitive, so who knows ...

besides, it may be time for me to try and win the cup.

Laviolette used to be one of the top shooters in the world, AFAICT... but next season he won't even be the best Canadian in I.1 (P.S. vote "Naismith League").

BTW, I don't mean to imply at all (and I don't think you took it that way) that your dominance is only because you started early... it's sort of like the Yankees or Red Sox in baseball. Yeah, it doesn't hurt that they great resources to start with, but you only need to look at a team like the Orioles to see that you can't just throw money at a problem... bad management will still trump that advantage.

No offense taken at all. There are several other good managers in the Naismith League, but since I am able to make $400-500 K a game (except when the Rockets or the Thunder have the audacity to try and beat me - but what is up with less people showing up for game 3 of our series?) I can upgrade my roster and use my higher level trainees to win. To do otherwise would be negligent and let down my fans (currently 6883). I imagine it will be quite soon when you or another team will be playing another challenger (such as the Toastifiers) for the championship. Until then, I will try to enjoy my temporary competitive advantage.

By the way, screw my fans. After going 20-2 and winning a championship, my fan base dropped by over 1300 fans. Looks like time to scout other locations for the franchise - perhaps Halifax.

Sorry, the Sculpins owner maintains his permanent residence in Halifax and claims that territory, although he does occasionally allow Toastifiers games to not be blacked out on local TV.

Most top teams experienced drops from what I've heard... I have no inside info, but I wouldn't be shocked to hear that there was a bug in season ticket holder calculation.

I dropped 453.

To be honest, the increase I received last season was too much, and I think the formula was tweaked to bring it back in line.
