When I opened this thread I was sure that it would be the first one to say that 3pt shooting is ruling BB again. i was worng, but I have seen some games recently, where outside just ruled..

german cup finale: (90290478)- 50% from 3pt range
Div II game: [match= 89174618] - 44,4% from 3pt range
national team: (37035) - 43% from 3pt range

those where the first few examples that I can come up with. it shows games at all levels. in all cases the outsideteam won against the insideteam.

I didn't do much research either to pick these games, just looked for the last few games of my team and the national team. cup finals was obvious...

to comment your game: 36,6% from 3pt range is not bad at all for a team that has a 6 in flow and outsideshooting, even against a very bad outside defense..its not GSW or something..

I know we have seen some game reports of good shooting here and there and a few good shooting players...but how about this??????

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/37225/boxscore.aspx

That is PITIFUL pressure rating of opponent. Here flow and outside shooting absolutely destroy the opponents defensive rating...

Why is only 11/30 made? That is barely over 1/3. Should be 40s or 50s %s??? RIGHT???

I guess we got some no JR guys or something...still...

It seems that wiht such a horrible OD we should have shot better.

Nippon got too many open threes, and only hit 30% on those (6/20). The contested shots were 50% (5-10). Too much offensive flow vs. such a poor defense for the threes to work, although of course without the flow there'd be a lot less success on inside shots.

You should know better than to draw conclusions from a SINGLE observation. You need a good sample size. Furthermore 11/30 is 37% which is in no way awful. Better can be expected, but for a normal distribution there are outliers on both sides of the mean. This is probably a low outlier.

37% actually puts you well into the top third of all NBA players with at least 50 3PT shots attempts.

Only one team (Golden State) shot above 38% from three this regular season.

So what? Poster was complaining that the 3p% was a low number when it really is the avg of any good 3 pt shooting team in the nba not named the warriors who are the greatest regualr season team of all time.

When you have one game as a sample size you cant really make solid conclusions. Good 3 pt shootimg teams underperform in RL sometimes toi
