New player here, DI, Micro-nation.

I started playing a season and a half ago with very low level merch (about 25k). Every week, it has gone up about 1-2k in growth (as I've started winning, gotten better players, etc). I expect it will go up to about 100k, maybe more if I buy some NTers.

$ 43 353
10/12/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 46 178
10/19/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 49 144
10/26/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 49 021
11/2/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 47 430
11/9/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 48 104
11/16/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 51 756
11/23/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 51 366
11/30/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 56 601
12/7/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 60 663
12/14/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 63 742
12/21/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 65 794
12/28/2015 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 66 814
1/4/2016 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 70 646

The jump from 51-56 was because one of my trainees was named to the U21-NT.

Can you spot when I moved from a level 1 PR to a LEvel 6 PR? I got one last week (66->70). What gives? Is a Level 6 PR person a total ripoff? If I can get 66k with a level 2 PR person why would I pay 10x as much for only 4k more per week?

my understanding is that PR guys affect fan attendance at home games... and if they have a "national appeal" speciality, a small bonus to performance on road games (make them more like home games).

But I could be wrong.

Your merchandise will go down, if you get better players that are foreigners. The merchandise formula is xenophobe, so any increase in "foreign" salaries, will result in a loss in merchandise money.

I dismantled my roster at the end of last season, got rid of the expensive foreigners and my merchandise went from ~40k to 60-70k instanteniously.

A roster of world class foreign players will most likely bring less merchandise than a salary floor domestic team.

Can anyone give a note about difference of PR levels and specialties? For example, which one is better - level 4 PR with Crowd Involvement or National Appeal or a level 5 PR without any?

After you lose a game it takes time and victories to increase the number of sales. When I had a lv 6 PR and lost my games, it took me only one victory to get back to (almost) the same level before the loss. A lv 3 or 4 PR will take longer, app. 3 or 4 victories.
From what I know, a higher PR level will increase the speed of recovery from losses.

yeah I think common wisdom has always been that:
1) the effect of a PR on merchandise is dubious and not enough to justify the extra cost anyway
2) the effect on the volatile end of the seats (bleachers) is not negligible. In a game right after a loss, someone with a better PR will lose fewer bleachers and (to a lesser extent) Lower Tier seats
3) the fan survey recovers faster after a loss with a better PR

Finally:
- Crowd involvement gives a very small bonus to team rebounding and defenses in home games
- National Appeal gives a very small bonus to team rebounding and defenses in road games
These effects are exactly the same no matter what level your PR is.

I believe that key to PR testing is a continuity of the team. You need steady results, no player changing for a while, so you could know what to expect in terms of attendance/merchandise.

My team was pretty volatile all the time so far, so I got no real results, when I tried testing. I'm trying to assemble a long term team structure right now, so I'll try experimenting again in the future.
