Hey there, I'm practically new to the forums, even if I posted a couple of times concerning our community.

I've had a quick look at our threads. I congratulate Mod-Zeus for his effort on our big team, also keeping us posted here with the relevant thread.
As for the U21 training guide, it is a bit wooly to me if a new person gets to read it (too much info).
The ads thread looks like a nice effort, I see js8 very active, which is to be thanked as well.

I consider myself a vivid reader, I've read most of the useful information regarding training and the game itself, in different languages and communities I can understand. It does not however take this fact to understand we are not among the Finland, Poland, Czech Rep group, or even within the second tier.

I'd obviously like this to change.
You may have noticed I don't buy players, I just learned to train and that's what I do, efficiently.
I would like to launch an initiative and organise a group of us to, basically, gain level, keep players (relocate them to England/make sure the manager knows about the importance of the player, and spot prospects.

A valid way to split this job would be through a simple excel file, with players per age.
Who would be in to help, or provide us all with ideas?

I'm no visionary, this is simply what the biggest NT teams do, to the greatest possible extent.

Happy Christmas mate, there's a number of us that agree with your thoughts and are actively looking to address it (and have been for a while, if you see my English and Utopia team). If you're a keen trainer I am sure a number of us would be interested in helping where we can and putting you in the loop with us all.

Hello mate, firstly Merry Christmas to you!

This message is spot on and as Vecx said, a few of us have created a second team with Utopia to train players for the U21 team. There's currently 5 of us doing this. As for the training guide, I agree it is a bit too much to take in for a newbie and it just blurts loads of information at you which is hard to grasp, so we'll have to look into redeveloping this and making it easier to understand.

The next topic you speak of with the excel file, well I can confirm I have all players ranging from 18-21 who meet specific criteria I have set for the U21 team. As for the older guys, Zeus will have a spreadsheet of those who have the potential of representing the NT and those on the verge.

Hopefully we can get a few more responses so we can expand our community and our national teams.

Merry Christmas to you all indeed! : )

I didn't notice your effort in Utopia, very nice one!

My initial intention was to split the players into ages up to 29, which I believe is the last "must" season for a player.
30-31 should be still mandatory for beasts prospects, but a polishing in ST and FT can't harm anyone.

In my opinion, leaving one person with 3 or more ages can be overwhelming, considering there would be some 2 players per position, per age, as scope of work. At the end of the year it would just take the next manager to update "his tab", and also be able to know whether the coming players to their new age are better or worse.
Ideally it should be improving.

Speaking of scopes, it's obviously the manager setting the training and all. However it would be great to tell, follow what I say, and you'll have a beast the NT can use.

I bother a lot. I have been sending emails to ex NT managers from those past glories, and currently I have created with a lot of work a database with over 1000 NT level players (I'm on the market every week), counting those from the top NT teams. I can see patterns and, like you, ready to guide the training of a player to reach top NT level to the possible extent.

But back to the current topic, would it be doable to do the age split among us? And maybe agree on role models per position?

To be more specific, it is not 5 role models. It is 5 role models to play Inside, Outside or Balanced each.

As to training, knowing the elastic effect is the base to guide, the suggestion to go for 1to1 in 18yo is obviously the good one.

Nice to see a new face that has a passion for the NT. If you'd like to message me sometime and bounce some ideas off me i'm cool with that.

Totally agree, loving the passion, training for the NT is my favourite part of the game.

Happy year ending everyone : )

To make it a bit clearer for any person with NT interest in our community, what is the working routine you currently follow with the NT prospects?
I'd be a little less interested on those players and managers that are already in the team, but with the coming boys (22 to 26 aprox.)

I used to post a list when I was U21 manager. - we could resurrect this sort of thing... (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr...)
