So,I've been thinking, are buzzerbeater players smart enough to use their skills to their advantage if you make them versatile? For instance, if I build a center to have high jump range and jump shot(comparable to Matt Bonner) will the game engine allow him to go to the three point line more often or will he still mostly just be inside and taking close shots because the game engine says "hes a center so dammit hes going to play like every other center ever"? Like wise if I build PG with great driving and inside shot but not good passing, will he play like a D--Rose? Or will he still try to pass often because he's labeled as a PG to the game engine?

Well a lot of it will depend on tactics that you choose, as players tend to play towards the coaches game-plan, even if it doesn't suit them personally. As for being smart enough to use their skills, I think players with more experience play to their strengths and make smarter plays more often. Much like in real basketball, your players have to be cohesive and work together, so you need to build a team that works well together, otherwise there will be players who don't play to their strengths for the benefit of the team overall.

Position does not matter for anything in the cap except for determining the salary of your player. Doesn't affect in game performance or training at all.

I don't think they're very smart. A smart man making thousands of dollars every week would probably change his wife beater at least every other day. A balding 19 year old probably wouldn't grow out his sides just so he could get a jump start on retirement. I think the staff members are pretty smart though. I have a transgender PR manager named Patty. He gets raises every week for doing pretty much nothing.

Wow, that was gold. +1

I have noticed that the players play to their strengths within the confines of whatever offense you place them in...my two pieces of copper
