My fellow Americans, my name is Phyr and I want you to reelect me to be your U21 manager. I believe I have had a very successful reign as U21 manager.

In S30 America’s tournament, we achieved our main goal of gaining the automatic bid to the World’s tournament despite having a serve lack of depth at our big spots.

Last season, we have had a great run to the World’s finals. While it was disappointing to wind up with silver again, we went out guns a blazing including a OT victory in the semifinals against Italy, the best team in the tournament, who had a couple bigs in 2 million+ DMI and a couple bigs in 1 million+. Let’s be honest, France can only win if America does most of the fighting anyway. We know what would have happened in a France-Italy final (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60eJaKGMRqo)

All joking aside, if you were following the team you know that it was remarkable that we even made the second round with the team that we had in the beginning of the season. We had a bunch of well-trained players that didn’t really mesh well together. We had a bunch of good inside and outside scoring guards but no one to really play PG and our bigs we not really in shape to play inside offense. To make things worse, our best (only) pure PG only had 1 IS.

However, all of our owners were receptive to my training suggestions and by the end of the first round with we were able to field a team that could play inside/neutral. We knew that we had to win out the second round to make the semis and we did exactly that. All in all we won 7 straight games on our way to the finals. By the end of the second round, we were also a team that could play outside as well which is unheard of on the U21 level.

Tactically, except for the finals, I thought we played a great tournament with the talent that we had. GDP-wise, we were successful in 4 out of 6 of our guesses. One of those misses was actually a success as well. We went into the semi-finals knowing that Italy was likely going to use Outside Iso (Balanced-Normal) or an inside offense, so we guessed Inside-Normal. One guess was going to be 100% correct and the other guess was going to be half-wrong which still resulted in a positive outcome. On the other side, we were able to get teams to guess incorrectly including an incorrect double guess from Spain in a must win second round game, and an incorrect guess from Italy that won us the semi final. More importantly, despite going into the second round with ZERO wins and needing to win out to even have a chance, I made some gutsy TIE calls that really allowed us to bank enough enthusiasm to make and win our semifinal game.

One of the reason that we did not have a very well put together team was because our NT Database stopped working in S29 and no one really did any scouting. I really want the opportunity to manage players in S33 World’s that I have been responsible for scouting for since they were 18 year olds. As I promised in my first speech, I put together a comprehensive scouting system that I am quite proud of. Only hours after our Finals defeat, I have already scouted the whole 18 year old S35 World’s draft class using this system and I will scout the 19/20/21 year olds once the ages/salary updates later this week. I promise to finish all the scouting regardless of the outcome of the election so I or the next u21 manager can go straight into prepping for Americas next week.

Let me just say that our S33 World’s team has the potential to be tremendous. I am really invested in this draft class. I am spending my own money on my Utopia team to farm 3 bigs for the S33 team so our depth of big will not be an issue in S32 and S33 like it was the last two seasons. Two of them have a shot to play on our America’s team off the bat as 20 year olds. One of them has the chance to be the best big in the S33 draft class. I will be actively involved with these teams regardless of the outcome of the election.

I call on you now to cast your vote (preferably for me again), join the offsite, and help me (or some other guy/gal) scout and mentor the next class of USA U21 players and managers! Please feel free to ask me anything in the debate thread.

Knowledge of tactics and training set the others above what I can offer. But nobody out here post better youtube videos so at least a Lambini administration will be entertaining.

A Lambini admin will also be a true crowd sourcing event as I will implement regular conference calls to give those who care and who know the ability to literally have their voices heard. I will be going to the different leagues promoting the u21 program, getting people excited to be involved.

I will also try to use the implied prestige of the post to recruit outside these walls. I try to give this game word of mouth when I can, if I get this position I will attack it with gusto

"Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism." - Kenny Powers

America. World leader in education, finance, business, technology, culture, and of course... Basketball.
America. Back to back champions of the world wars.
America. Silver medalists of BB U21.

GODBEAR is here today to lead this great nation back to the gold. To once again stand on top of the mountain. With cutting edge approaches to tactics and training, we will rise from the ashes of the burnt silver to claim the throne.
As I've said before, we will not be challenged until we reach the universal tournament. We will look down on our world rivals with the contempt that our pure American blood entitles us to do.

Remember that the silver officials are elected by gold managers who are not getting out there and casting their respective vote. So if you believe in the red, white, blue, and gold... Vote GODBEAR! And make America great again!

I'm putting my name in the U21 NT race. Mostly because I'm not liking what I'm seeing with how it's being handled so far. I'm always the type of person who will bet on myself to succeed, so while I have no problem working for/with someone I respect if I don't like how things are being handled I'd rather take the responsibility myself than leave it to someone who I think shouldn't have that responsibility. Because I trust myself to do a good job.

I just made it to D.III this past season for the first time so you can argue about my credentials. But I've been playing this game for a long time (both with this team and with the now-bot Iowa Lightning (28056) basically since S11 with a short break). I'm also a long-time offsite member and I'm certainly receptive to the input of other equally experienced managers with more outward credentials, so with their support I have no doubt I can be successful.

I've already cast my vote for Phyr, because like I said I have no problem with someone else being in charge as long as I respect their leadership abilities. And I have much respect for Phyr as a manager and have no desire to replace him. That said, if you're not going to vote for Phyr, here's why you should vote for me instead:

The only knock against Phyr is that we lost the Finals basically because France's GDP tactics were better than ours. As manager Phyr takes the blame for that, rightly or wrongly. If you're one of the people who questions Phyr's competency because of that one incident, you should respect mine all the more. You can check the offsite's thread if you're a USA manager and see that I publicly campaigned for a last-minute switch to a neutral offense after our decoy was revealed. Most managers agree we very probably win had we run a neutral offense like II instead of LI. So if Phyr's decision-making is suspect because he made the wrong decision, it logically follows that my decision-making must be that much more brilliant because I made the right decision against the collective input of the group. Either way, with the strength of the offsite on our side, if the only concern people have is the France game then one of us must necessarily be the most qualified candidate. I really don't care which of us you vote for but there is no logical reason not to vote for one of us.
