Hi All, can someone please advise if i will lose my team based on the below

1) Economic Update on the 5th January - My balance was: - 606,385

2) Economic Update on the 12th January - My balance will be: - 775, 032 - Around that figure.

What if i win the Grand Final?

Will my team still be around for the promotion bonus which will avoid bankruptcy?

Please help, im a little confused.

Thank you.

How much is your promotional fee and current seat take in income? add those then subtract what you owe.

promo+income=( ___)

775-??=

I think you will default regardless but Hey you might not if your lucky.

All I can say is sell a player before/after grand finals. Don't matter who. Off set some cost /shut some cost down. Hope it works out for you.

Make sure your series goes to game 3 to maximise your income. That may be the only thing that saves you. I would also suggest selling your 135k centre, except for the fact that he's 33, meaning his skills are in decline and that makes him less desirable considering how the salary formula works. You may want to sell him anyway though just to rid yourself of the financial strain-

Actually you know what? Sell the entire team man. All of your 'useful' players are past their prime which means you're paying them more salary then they're worth for most of the season, and Alexander Byrd is the only guy on your team I would think about keeping.

Letting yourself go bankrupt and getting a new team wouldn't be a bad strategy at this point either. You will lose the progress you've made on your arena, but you'll least get a fresh team with 300k + 200k money to start with, and a chance at a hidden gem amongst the initial squad of 18 that you get.

Does anyone here know the process in this game that leads to a bankrupt manager getting a new team?

Tis a shame. Because to be brutally honest I think Roozer has dug his or her team into a deep hole that is going to take a long time to dig back out of no matter how this finals series plays out, to the point where abandoning it and starting a new team looked tempting there until you said it would take several weeks...

Fact - you go bankrupt 2 weeks after receiving the bbmail warning if at some stage you have not reduced your debt so that it is less than 500 K (i.e. bank balance -500K)

You do not receive a warning until you have a bank balance of less than -500 K at the time a financial update occurs.

so if you owe 499 K on a Sunday night and your debt blows out so that your bank balance is -999 K on the Monday you will not receive a warning for at least a week. (because your debt was less than 500K before the financial update which means your bank account was more than -500K)

Calculating your cash flow during an assault on a "trophy" is complicated and requires the use of a spread sheet.

Over extension tax will be based on your last home game during the regular season and not what your gates are during the finals.

You have to have an idea of what your gates will be during the finals, what your normal expenses are, over extension tax and of course interest on debt.

Also remember that a promotion bonus does not come through on the Sunday night after the last final but instead generally comes through on the Tuesday ( a day after the financial update)

If your close to insolvency then it is best to time the sale of a couple of your more expensive players to occur on the Sunday evening a couple of hours after the 3rd and deciding final

Isn't it possible to sell your players and time it so you still have them available for the final, but that they sell before the economic update on sunday night/monday morning?

That way you'll only have to pay the salary floor and will surely save you enough money, with the addition of whatever transfer fees you receive to avoid bankruptcy.

Yes, and it's probably Roozer's best course of action here. Even if he/she does manage to win the III.16 championship, he/she will still have no money and a squad of expensive deteriorating players to his/her name. Any division II season campaign would have to be a tanking one, where he/she just accumulates money and possibly has a crack at scouting in the draft...

Roozer, this strategy would involve putting your players on the transfer list on Thursday night, after the usual starting time for league games on your schedule but before 1am or so. The deadline, assuming that you list for 3 days, would fall after game 3 on Sunday but before the financial update on Monday morning...

Hi All

Firstly, thanks for the responses and advice, it is greatly appreciated.

Well the economy update has run, and i still have not received this warning email.

Before the update was run, my balance was - 406,210 (received some money on my semi final game saturday night)

This morning, my balance is - 673,158

So i assume its safe to say that i wont go into bankrupt because i have not received this warning email?

And yeah i will probably have to list a couple of the expensive blokes Thursday night to relieve the pressure,
