Sorry I haven't been very active recently, I've had a lot of uni work to do.

The schedule is horrible for us, putting us as the lowest ranked team in our draw which is a bit surprising. It was also unfavourable for giving us a string of strong opponents after the Switzerland game, which turned out to be our most winnable game. In hindsight if I knew the schedule before I would of CT that game but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

All we can hope is that my long term strategy pays off and we don't end up sitting 0 - 8.

Good luck. Could have been the other way round - you having played CT against Switzerland (and maybe even lost by a very small margin) and then having 2-3 winnable games but no enthusiasm. Just keep up your work and I wish you all the best that you strategy pays off!

That was your thought or did he also write that? Funny message indeed. Also the fact that he offers you absolutely nothing in return for the victory that you're supposed to deliver him.

That was my thought but one that I wasn't willing to do it

The season has finished and disappointedly neither of our national sides were able to record a victory this season.

I was really hoping that a possible victory would of came against Mexico but unfortunately we lost 83 - 67. We were leading 36 - 34 at HT and were down 51 - 54 going into the final quarter but, similarly to my own team who collapsed in the cup to Macau Hospitallers, we lost emphatically. The reason why I chose Mexico was that they were the closest team to us on outside players and I was hoping the difference in enthusiasm and home court advantage could stifle their superior inside players. However Mexico used normal enthusiasm so my plan failed.

The other two games were always going to be certain defeats against a good Dutch side and a Swedish side that were always going to CT it as it was the last game of the season.

Hopefully next season the draw will be more favourable to us even though our ranking has taken a real dip. I'm still undecided whether I want to carry on next season as my uni course is approaching squeaky bum time and I don't have as much spare time. I will see who applies for the role and if there is a candidate that looks good, similar to Dr Freia Wurf-König who is doing a solid job at national team level, I will let them take the reins.
