Hello everyone,

My fourth and probably final season in charge of the U21 is about to start. We start ranked 64th in the world and hopefully we will end in the 50s. The draft was a decent one (apart for mine) and there are lots of good prospects out there with high potential. Our squad is about the same strength as it was last year so there is still room for improvement.

I would like you all to be training at least one Scottish U21 player each season as there is the opportunity to give young players 48+ minutes a week because you only play a maximum of one or two competitive cup games a year. I tend to prioritise defence when picking a squad so if you are unsure what to train either choose that or message me.

Hopefully we will get a favourable group this year and have some good results.

good luck this season - and maybe you'll have such a good season that you'll again next year...I think you've done a great job so far, so keep up the good work!

I've messaged everyone about training plans and all that. Hopefully you will all reply but with something better than just 'train them', like someone said last year.

First up is Slovakia. They are still to select their roster so I don't know how strong they are but judging by last years performances they look like they could do well in the consolation competition.

The second match is against Switzerland. They look like a team we could compete against but will be a tough game.
