Hey no problem.. I understand that if you are to give your vote to a foreigner you need to feel comfortable.. and to be honest , although I don't have much NT experience yet, I'm very open-minded and am willing to work hard to get there.. The other NT manager had said he would give someone else a chance, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to learn on the job...I haven't done anything for Malaysia yet, but then again using my husband as an inspiration, when he started this game a few seasons back, he didn't have any experience, but through passion and hard work he has been pretty successful.. I realize he's not running in this election, but I'd be lying if I said he wasn't a big influence on me..community is a huge priority to me.. scouting also...

2.I hadn't done anything yet because I was still trying to analyze the game data before I was comfortable enough to take the next step. Now that I've gotten to the 2nd Division in Canada, I'm ready to take the next step. It's like anyting else, you need to eventually find experience somewhere.

3.No I'm not running here because it's too easy.. it's like i said in the speech area, my husband alwasy raves about the passion and flexibility of this nation.. there are many jerks in Buzzerbeater, but Malaysia seems to be a place where I can learn and be a part of a great community, which is very important to me.

Thanks for your interest, i understand your concerns, but then again I would love to get some experience somewhere.

I'll do my best to answer these, as I'm heading to work, but if not, I'lll give more details when I return:

1)Game Shape is a huge criteria for me... I know some people want to play the best players no matter what the game shape, but to be honest, if their game shapes are low, they may no longer be the best player/option available.. In my opinion, unless there are exceptional circumstances, if the player is to play he must have 8 or 9 game shape...

2)Well I've never used blank lineup as I believe this to be cheating.. now before you all jump on me, I know many people who use it and say that it's the wisest choice to make, but just like my husband (who never uses it either) I feel that if you want to win with integrity you need to do it without going blank lineup ... I realize that may mean the potential loss because of this, but when the time comes and you can no longer use blank lineup anyway, I'm ready, as I do it anyway.. Good scouting/tactics and game shape should be enough..

3)Scrimmages are important.. especially in offseason or after team is out.. as its a way to not only assess what capabilities other players have (depth is always important to know what you have)... but also I think it's important to reward those hard working owners who may have just missed their player making the team, but still neeed to be rewarded in a little way for their effort.

4)At this point, this is my first attempt , so to make promises about how long I want to stay is premature as a)you may not like me---i don't like to assume and b)I may not win the election.... but if i do win, i'd love to stay on for a while, as building community can take longer than 2 bb seasons... Theoretically this will be a family setting... alwasy open to support and ideas.. sometimes some differences of opinions (as families often do).. This is not just about seeing if I can win.... It's a great opportunity for growth.

5)If I lost would it dampen my spirits?... no... remember I'm the foreigner... so I have to alwasy assume I'm a big underdog.. I'd be willing to help if not given the chance... my husband has been U21 Coach for two different nations(England and Pilipinas) for 6 seasons.. but he would never have gotten his chance had he not worked under Canadian Great BBallin (as his reporter)... and His Emminence(in England---as his reporter)...so he had to start as a reporter to get experience.. so I knew it may take some time...

Thanks for your questions, I hope I answered them well enough.. if not , just let me know and I'll add more when I return from work.

Have a great day!

Hi MC,

Welcome to BB Malaysia! Thanks for stepping up to the plate and offering your assistance coaching our NT! New blood and insight is definitely appreciated in such a small community and not to mention low participation.

As opposed to the less welcoming posts by my fellow Malaysians I would like to extend my gratitude to you for running for the election!

Would like to share my experience pertaining to BB Malaysia community so that you can both know what to expect should you get nominated as the NT Coach and at the same time can start thinking how you could have done better.

I joined BB Malaysia during the peak when our active users were filling up until Div III back in season 10-15. However, even then I had difficulty getting much participation from the users when trying to improve the community be it a mentorship program or scouting program. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of posts and feedbacks on ideas on what can be done to improve the community. But when it comes to actually doing the work, hardly anyone offers a helping hand (even those who provides feedbacks and ideas).

Hopefully you can contribute and ignite something within the community.
Just would like to give you a realistic idea of what to expect with regards to getting participation from the community for the NT.
