I'll do my best to answer these, as I'm heading to work, but if not, I'lll give more details when I return:
1)Game Shape is a huge criteria for me... I know some people want to play the best players no matter what the game shape, but to be honest, if their game shapes are low, they may no longer be the best player/option available.. In my opinion, unless there are exceptional circumstances, if the player is to play he must have 8 or 9 game shape...
2)Well I've never used blank lineup as I believe this to be cheating.. now before you all jump on me, I know many people who use it and say that it's the wisest choice to make, but just like my husband (who never uses it either) I feel that if you want to win with integrity you need to do it without going blank lineup ... I realize that may mean the potential loss because of this, but when the time comes and you can no longer use blank lineup anyway, I'm ready, as I do it anyway.. Good scouting/tactics and game shape should be enough..
3)Scrimmages are important.. especially in offseason or after team is out.. as its a way to not only assess what capabilities other players have (depth is always important to know what you have)... but also I think it's important to reward those hard working owners who may have just missed their player making the team, but still neeed to be rewarded in a little way for their effort.
4)At this point, this is my first attempt , so to make promises about how long I want to stay is premature as a)you may not like me---i don't like to assume and b)I may not win the election.... but if i do win, i'd love to stay on for a while, as building community can take longer than 2 bb seasons... Theoretically this will be a family setting... alwasy open to support and ideas.. sometimes some differences of opinions (as families often do).. This is not just about seeing if I can win.... It's a great opportunity for growth.
5)If I lost would it dampen my spirits?... no... remember I'm the foreigner... so I have to alwasy assume I'm a big underdog.. I'd be willing to help if not given the chance... my husband has been U21 Coach for two different nations(England and Pilipinas) for 6 seasons.. but he would never have gotten his chance had he not worked under Canadian Great BBallin (as his reporter)... and His Emminence(in England---as his reporter)...so he had to start as a reporter to get experience.. so I knew it may take some time...
Thanks for your questions, I hope I answered them well enough.. if not , just let me know and I'll add more when I return from work.
Have a great day!
