I drafted this guy 4 years ago and have been training his guard skills, so far hes really well rounded and i'm not sure if i should make him a PG or a SG.
Randy Schneider (29561249)

Age: 21
Height: 6'4" / 193 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: proficient
Jump Shot: prolific Jump Range: prominent
Outside Def.: prolific Handling: prolific
Driving: prominent Passing: prolific
Inside Shot: average Inside Def.: awful
Rebounding: strong Shot Blocking: pitiful
Stamina: inept ↑ Free Throw: awful

Experience: awful

What do you think would be the best next move for him. I was thinking to switching to inside skills for a season to get those skills up a bit. Then i'd go back to his guard skills. Do you think thats the right move? Would that lock him into being a SG because all the inside skills would be a waste for a PG? let me know what you would do with him?

I like him as a SG personally. I would get his JS to 14, his JR to 12, and then IS up to 8. After that you can get OD and PAS up to 13 each. He is a beast SG then. Scoring machine and can hold his own on defense.

you don't think a season of mostly IS, with a little ID and RB would do him well right now. I was thinking about doing that and then going back to his guard skills? is there a reason you think i should spend more time on his outside skills first?

Well his REB is already plenty for a guard (Almost too much actually) I suppose you could get his ID up to mediocre-average, but I think it would just be more beneficial to focus on outside skills and then you can move on to your next string of trainees, once he is capped out. I think his inside skills are very good for a guard, so I suppose, I just think getting you an offensive beast is a bigger priority than making him a slightly better inside defender, or rebounder. Leave that job to your bigs. ;)
