5th/8th place you don't have to pay. 6th/7th you have to pay because of relegation series.

I think you still pay 50%? For the first playoff week? Someone please confirm, I can't say for sure.

A fairly recent change is that the 5th seed does now pay half salaries during the first playoff week. I don't believe the 8 seed does, though.
