How did you find the game of BuzzerBeater? Apologies if data like this already exists, but I think if the BBs are ever looking to attract new users, it'd be helpful to know how the existing active users stumbled upon this epic game. I myself was introduced by a friend. Thanks IJ!

Yes, a person who enjoys a manager game would likely enjoy this game. Anything that could be done to spread word to people who like manager games would likely increase BB users.

This game is 100% what I look for in a game. Analytical, manager decisions, economics, sports, budgeting, etc. I just happened to be lucky enough that a friend mentioned it to me. I don't think I ever would have stumbled upon this on my own.

You're welcome! I'm glad that you joined. It has been fun to watch the Pac Heights Pump Fakes rise through the ranks!

For me, I had just finished reading Bill Simmons' Book of Basketball, and it got me thinking about how much fun it would be to play a managerial hoops game. I did a google search, and while I don't remember what else came up, Buzzerbeater looked far and away to be the best option. Haven't looked back since. I enjoy playing this game very much.

The second highest result shows lots of people finding BuzzerBeater from a search engine. If there are that many people finding BuzzerBeater from Google, etc, then seems like to attract new users, one of the things BB should do is focus on Search Engine Optimization.

BuzzerBeater doesn't come up first, or second, or third for any of these key searches:
Search Words:

"Basketball Manager" - 7th result (behind many other basketball manager games. When I searched, there were not any Google Adwords which came up, which leads me to believe that none of these other manager games are currently advertising on Google Adwords for "Basketball Manager". Advertising with those words could be less expensive as I believe the adwords pricing is auction/demand based)

"Basketball Strategy Game" - 8th result

The one good thing is when you type "buzzerbeater", "nba buzzerbeater", or "game winning buzzerbeater", BB is the first result. If anyone searches for something like that and is curious enough to click on the first result then they have a decent chance of joining.
