[Skip this BS intro] So, during my last year in league 48 DV. There was a franchise player draftee- 6-8, power forward, Fred Hong. Hong utterly dominated the pre draft game, 14-17 shooting, 9 rebounds, a couple blocks. Oh and he was 18. Obviously, the scouts raved about him. 5 star skill level, 4 star potential (superstar). He was my guy. My future power forward. Mine.

Needless to say, I didn't get him; I drafter two 19 year olds...

Anyways, I got two players, one of them is going to be future starting 2 guard, the other is getting a sad phone call home.
How should I decide who to keep?

Benny McGee

Weekly salary: $ 2 950

DMI: 9800
Age: 19
Height: 6'4" / 193 cm
Potential: hall of famer
Game Shape: respectable

Jump Shot: awful Jump Range: awful
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: mediocre
Driving: average Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: pitiful Inside Def.: pitiful
Rebounding: awful Shot Blocking: average
Stamina: inept Free Throw: average

Decent, but has incredible potential. More guard like atm.

OR

Michael Holder

DMI: 10200
Age: 19
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: MVP
Game Shape: respectable

Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: atrocious
Outside Def.: average Handling: mediocre
Driving: mediocre Passing: average
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: awful
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: awful Free Throw: respectable

More intangibles. Lesser potential but better atm.

All advice is welcomed and appreciated, thank you.

I would take the top one for one reason. the 2 main skills that are a pain to train for Gs are JR and OD. the top guy has more in both of these.

You sure you cant keep both? If id have to choose id go for the first one cause of higher passing/OD than the other guy js will train very fast for the first guy cause of elastic effect.

Btw did you scouted 19year olds or got them by pure luck?

They both looking like trainable players. The first guy has better potential and primaries, whereas the second has better secondaries. In this case, I might take the second guy, but you really need to think about what you want the finished product to look like and if it will exceed MVP potential. There is a training calculator out there somewhere you can plug them into. Either way, I wouldn't fire the other, you should be able to get a decent (not rediculous) amount of cash for selling them

If you still want to train a good potential 18 year old, sell them both and buy 1 good 18 yo trainee.

You guys are probably right, I'll keep both. I was just thinking about selling one for cash since I just moved to DIV and my arena is really small.
