Well were to start.

My current team has been around since season 15 and has promoted all the way up to div 2 playing mainly outside tactics but also inside tactic. I tanked my way out of div 2 this past season to make money as my team wasn't quite there financially for div 2. The good thing I don't have to worry about finances of I make NT coach.

So what would I do if I made NT coach first of I would go to whitebeard and ask for a lil advice and knowledge that he will know about the players and what tactics that they are good in.

Id also start looking and trying to get younger talent into the team soon there's a few young players that are currently fringe players and a few that are the team but most of the NT is now getting on in years. Well just looked at the team again and looks like there's been a few players dropped and added so its not as old as I thought though our best guard is 33 hopefully Bogan or one of the other guards will get to Mansfield standard soon.

I'd have assistant coaches and be happy to let those that I run against if I win to be assistant coaches. I'm pretty sure if I don't run mickyster Would be interested in still being an assistant coach and I'd also talk to Bainsy and see if he is.

I'd keep the forums going as I'm pretty active on the forums except for when I go away good thing is I won't be going away anytime soon. So you'd still be getting the write ups like whitebeard does ill also be using the offsite forum for tactic dissucusion before the game and have insight on the games after they are played.

I also have a lot of time on my hands to look after the NT and put effort in as I won't be having to go to hard in div 3 to promote back up.

Well that's it that I can think of for now may add to this later and will let people know if I do. Happy to answer questions in debate thread.

To start I would like to say that if Whitebeard was willing to keep running the side it would be the best for the NT side. He is clearly the top coach in the country atm and his lose will be huge for the NT side and whoever takes his place will have huge, like Ronald MacDonald size shoes to fill.
But I would like to throw my hat in the ring for the role of NT coach. I started playing the game in season 15. In fact in the same league as Brooksy and also RazorSharp. I joined part of the way into the season and fumbled my way to the finals with no idea what I was doing. Having lost to RazorSharp in the Conference final I got bot promoted with still no idea. I worked out enough to make the finals 2 seasons in row in Div III but with no cash was unable to go all the way. So I focused on training and got demoted for a season back to Div IV. Have since being in Div III and made the finals each year. Injury was my worst enemy with losing both my SG before one year’s finals and having to replace a couple of players mid season when they got a long term injury.
My side the Brisbane Wildcats are building for a run through the leagues and laying the foundation for getting into ABBL before my gun big man hits his decline. I also have the only 20 year old to feature in last season 21 NT who started a number of games.
I have been an assistant to Whitebeard for the NT side and also part of a large team helping Iwen with the 21 NT side. I have gain a lot form helping out both these guys and talking to other experienced and successful coaches. Before deciding to put my hand up I spoke to a few of these great coaches of our Australian BB community to seek their support and input as they can in running the NT side. Thankfully they all offered help as they could but willing if I got the job for me to run the side as I see fit with input only when I seek it.
I think the way Iwen has involved lots of coaches is a good thing for the game. I don’t think a team that large is needed for the NT side but the involvement of various people with managing the team and then those who are welcome to have input would be more then welcome. I may not know everything about this game but if I don’t I know people who do and are not against asking these people for their input.
Whitebeard has built a strong side. But the major thing for a incoming coach will be to ensure that there are a fresh bunch of players coming through. My role with the NT side this season has been talking to those who are training C/PF who are developing into NT players. Different coaches have different responses to this process but in all I feel for those positions anyway we do have some good players to take their part in the team in season to come. While the coach for the next 2 seasons may not see any direct benefit from this process it is vital for the future success of our national team. Anyone without a long term vision for the team will only make it harder for the side in the future.

I would talk to Iwen to make sure any developing 21NT players with the ability to move are included in the process and encouraged to keep training for their own teams benefit and also our nations.

Talking about actual players and strategies at this stage can be difficult. But any changes to the squad Whitebeard has put in early I would discuss with him and others before adding anyone and discuss how he saw the team developing and playing over the next couple of season with the current squad of players.

Again is Whitebeard puts his hand up again I will vote for him. If I am not successful I am happy to assist whoever does get the job for the good of the NT and out local community.

Thank you for ready my long speech and give me a Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie.........

Second Team:
The Perth Players
Hello All.
My name's Greg. I've been managing my team since season 6, avoiding relegation from division 3.10 in my first season. My teams never been below div 3 and is entering it's fifth, but not consecutive, season in div 2. I am passionate about winning so I always aim to win any match my team plays sometimes I know it's not possible going into the match but I'll always try to win as that is the best thing to do in the spirit of competition.

I have learned a lot from a few players over the seasons, made some mistakes like everyone, and have recently been offering some advice to a couple of teams that have asked.

I usually haven't been that active on the forums, I do read a lot of them, but only comment when I have something interesting or useful to say. I would naturally increase my forum activity as I would want everyone to be able to follow and understand what's happening with our National Team as that is what it is OUR National Team.

I love training young players and seeing them develop so I, as national coach, would encourage everyone to develop young talent and work with the u21 coach to encourage the developing talent on that team to be trained further to make the national team. This should be every coach's goal to have a player on the national team, especially one they've trained from scratch.

I would strive as national coach to learn everything possible from Whitebeard about coaching our National Team, what direction he sees it going in, what talent is developing, the strengths of each player on the team. I would combine this with my own experience to shape our National Team.

I believe I have a lot of experience to offer this role and I now have time to invest in this role, that is why I have not run before. I do expect I will need a good group of assistants and I hope some of the existing team would stay on to support our National Team and myself as I learn this new role. Please feel free to ask me any questions in the debate thread and I will respond as quick as I can.
