Singapore gets 2nd win in Consolation Tournament with a 91-79 win over Panama

Playing in front of a 18550 strong home crowd in Showstopper Arena, Singapore players rose to the occasion with a 91-79 win over Panama on Christmas Eve. Y. Tse Hui again was the star performer with 36 points and 7 assists. While team captain F. Shuangxiang and S. Yeng Jian were busy trying to keep Panama's bigman A. Martínez and B. Galindo quiet.

With a strong 34-15 second quarter, the home team defended their lead all the way till the end of the game to the delight of the home fans. Team captain, F. Shuangxiang was pleased with the win, "Fans support was great, it gave us strength to win the game. We can now enjoy the Christmas party, Merry Christmas everyone!"

Singapore NT starts 2013 with 89-99 lost against Shqipëria

Singapore could not hold on to their 51-42 first half advantage at AT&T Center to succumb to their 2nd defeat in Consolation Tournament.

Captain Shuangxiang 20pts and 23rebs was not enough to win the game for Singapore. Jian Long playing his first NT game this season was disappointed that he only got 13pts and 13rebs, "We let our fans down with a terrible 2nd half performance. The team has very much wanted to start the New Year with a win. Hopefully we can bounce back with a win in our next game against Peru."

Yeo Tse Hui leads Singapore to narrow win over Peru

Singapore's vice captain, Yeo Tse Hui finished the game with 30 points and 2 assist to lead Singapore to a 133-127 narrow win over Peru at Kurast arena. Ang Kok Loong also impresses the travelling Singaporean fans with 22 points and 50% accurancy in FG and 3FG.

"It is a good win for us because it is an away game which we are not expected to win," Eric said. "Hopefully we can build on this win and go on to qualify for the knockout round."
