Well the season is here and in this hall of echoes ...so am I.

I am going to do a pre-season power ranking and if(..thats a big "IF".) this forum comes to life I will try and be active all season long.

Well Good Luck everyone and hope I find a pulse in here!!!!haha

Rankings

1. Fok Seminoles : 19-3 : Last Season they pushed all the way till the GREAT 8 finals only to lose to the Ladybugs. They have been to DIV III twice and have yet to survive the grueling level of play....but they will be itching for a return.

2. Boston Blazers: 2-20 : 4 Seasons in DIV III.1 ......that alone should tell and warn all in the BIG 8 and the rest of us. look for this team to bring it every game unless he is rebuilding.

3. Clawz: 20-2 : Had a dominating season here last year ....then the beast in Denver woke and spent $$$ and destroyed my young teams dream. We are back and have learned not to take anybody for granted.

4. STM Phoenix: 18-4 : Strong all season long and pushed to the BIG 8 finals where they faced the Denver team that decided it wanted a championship. With a new season here they are a strong favorite to challenge for it all.

5. TDX Dutchmen: 11-11 : I think they fought hard early then took a little off the gas as the season progressed. They now should have some $$ saved and will be a threat in the BIG 8.

6. DaddyGirls: 18-4 : Lost to Phoenix by just 2 pts in the opening round of the playoffs. Angry? Hungry? ...well whatever emotion in brewing within they will be present and fighting for a rematch!!!

7. Rampage: 16-6 : Faced the Ladybugs early in the playoffs and lost but it might have awoken the animal. We should see a focused team that know they have good potential to fight for the GREAT 8.

8. Deportivo: 10-12 : Had a long season here and if my instinct are correct they will make some $$ moves this season to fight for the GREAT 8 and maybe more.

9 Ladybugs: 14-8 : Well the surprise was the won the GREAT 8 and then got stopped just short of touching the trophy. Hopefully they can pounce on the competition just like last season and win BIG road games.

10. Rallies: 21-1 : DIV V Champs here.....but they have spent 7 seasons in DIV IV so they know the skill level and should be ready for the 8th season!!!

11. Terriers: 14-8 : Strong last year made the playoffs. Now that they have the taste of winning will it continue?

12. River: 4-18 : It was a long season for this club here last year. In the end they fought to stay and won.So is this year going to be the year that they come out of the basement and join the fight...we shall see!

13. Barnyards: 20-2 : DIV V Champs here also...but they have spent 2 season at the DIV IV level. Have they learned enough to hang here and can they add the player strength they will need to compete....hmmmm.

14. Dawgs BC: 22- 0 : DIV V Champs here ...but 14 season at DIV IV and a 1 season stint at DIV III. My buddy had them in DIV IV .29...said they just rebuilt all season ...very quiet. We'll see if they can make some noise this time around.

15. Jazz#!: 20-2 : DIV V Champs but struggled to get out. Did make it for 1 season only to find themselves back at the DIV V level. Is this year the year they stick?

16. Pros: 8-14 : Won their regulation season here. Will they have what it takes to get out of the bottom?

Well this is the start and if this forum breathes any life ..there will be more to come!!!

BTW, I am glad that I am ranked 9 now. Last season I was valued at 15.

Game 2 is on its way as we work into the 2nd set of games.
I will be putting out a ranking on Wednesday after we get another look at teams abilities.

Rankings Game 2

1.Seminoles (2-0) +101 PD : In their first game they played a tough Deportivo and won at home easily. Game 2 played a weak team on the road and DESTROYED them. Looks as if they will be holding this number 1 ranking for awhile.

2.Blazers (1-1) -5 PD : Lost game 1 against the Phoenix team on the road who plays every game tough. Then had their first home game and won by 18 pts. Its early for all teams and 1-1 at this point is respectable.

3.Clawz (0-2) -17 PD : Well after a 20-2 season things are not looking good in Clawz-villa as the team need to find it game and soon. In my defense opened against 2 strong teams but am still surprised at my losses.

4.Phoenix (2-0)+38 PD : Beat the Blazers at home then took Clawz apart on the road. It is early once again but could this be their year?

5.Dutchmen (1-1) -4 PD : Beat the Clawz at home by 2 !!! (ouch that hurt) then lost by 6 to DaddysGirls on the road. Playing well early will need to keep this game play at this level.

6.DaddysGirls (2-0) +23 PD : Smacked down the Dawgs then took out the Dutchmen. looking good.Keep it up! Thats what she said! ...sorry couldn’t help myself.

7.Rampage (1-1) +24 PD : Stomped the Pros in game 1 then lost to the Terriers on the road. It is a long season and they have lots of time to make adjustments.

8.Deportivo (0-2) -20 PD : Well just like my team I am shocked to see them down 0-2 I had this team playing strong and pushing towards the playoffs in my mind. We’ll see if they make any moves or just spiral down.

9.Ladybugs (2-0) +32 PD : They road out the River in a road win then mowed down the Yarders at home. 2 strong wins and a great way to begin the season.

10.Rallies (2-0) +44 PD : Can you say first place in the Big 8 well at least tied with 2 other teams. Looking good winning against the lower ranking teams but 2-0 is NICE!!!

11.Terriers (1-1) +17 PD : Lost by 2 to start the season ..i know how that feels. Then went home and owned the Rampage. Good start.

12.River (1-1) -12 PD :Lost game 1 to the Bugs but looked good on the road beating Deportivo.

13.Barnyards (1-1) -15 PD : Beat the pups(Terriers) by 2 pts at home...close call. The got smacked down by the Bugs.

14.Dawgs (0-2) -40 PD : Ouch....i know your pain. They need some hired guns but we’ll see if they can strengthen their lineup here quickly before they find themselves at the bottom of the barrel.

15.Jazz (0-2) -39 PD : Well your 0-2 and down 39. So now what is the plan? As long as you have one things can get better.

16.Pros (0-2) -127 PD : ....yeah this is going to be a long season for you unless you have a bunch of hidden $$$$$$$$.

*** Well i will be updating our positions next week. I like to wait for the first 3 games to be played before I start moving teams around. It looks like there will be lots of movement including my team dropping like a ROCK.

RANKINGS!!!

Well been mostly caught up with work but have to admit that with this league being a little quiet its hard to be motivated. Well thanks to Fishy and his willingness to remind and encourage....here we go.

1.STM Phoenix : 14-1 : Running a 10 man roster and having a strong starting 5 makes.him a tough opponent every game. I look for him to take the BIG 8 this season.Between DaddyGirls and myself it will be a tough playoff.

2.LadyBugs : 14-1 : 12 Man roster but the big question is he is selling his big gun. If he gets the 980K that he is looking for then this will shake up the rankings in the future. For now though with a little bit weaker starting five I give the slight edge to Phoenix....its really close though.

3.Rahway Rampage : 12-3 : 11 Man roster with 8 strong players. I like the look of this team and It will be no easy task for the Bugs to keep the number one spot and win the GREAT 8. Will be watching this divisional battle for first. On the 27th they face off with the Bugs at home.....hmmmmm.

4.Fok Seminoles : 11-4 : Another 10 man roster with 8 of them over 30yrs old? wow! Will be strong team till the end but unless he pulls off a major move this team needs rebuilding time.

5.Clawz : 10-5 : 9 Man roster and have been making some moves in the last few weeks. Tweaking this team before the playoffs. Hoping that this will work out but time will tell and with the Phoenix racking up first might have to hold off till next season....so many ???s for my franchise.

6.DaddyGirls : 10-5 : 8 Man roster is a small team but this is one of those teams you don’t want to play especially at home. I gave myself a slight edge on them but its a toss up really.

7.Al-Andalus Deportivo : 9-6 : 11 Guys on this line-up. I am a fan of running 11/12 man team but have fallen off of this theory as I make some changes. A great young Center here and a few players that can help around him but not enough to challenge the GREAT 8 this season.

8.BarnYarders : 8-7 : 9 Man roster with all guys looking all round solid. This teams record could be misleading. GS is low and that is most likely holding this team back. I look for this team to be stronger in the future with 2/3rds of this season gone its to late.

9.Potomac River : 7-8 : 15 Man roster....nope not for me. Too many players getting cash where it can be used in a better way. His 3 best players are over 30 yrs old so unless he begins moving them along he is going to not be in a good shape for next year. I could be wrong I’ve been wrong once or twice...lol.

10.Rallies : 4-11 : Poor record but with his 9 man roster if he could get his GS up could be formidable in the next seasons. This is a young team so training and adding a good vet along the way will make them a force.

11.Law Dawgs B.C. : 4-11 : 21 PLAYERS!!!! Ouch ...not sure what to say here has some guys at the bottom of this extremely deep bench that he could sell for some serious CASH. Otherwise this is a crashing franchise.

12.Utahjazz#1 : 2-13 : 22 Players ...sorry the bottom line is unless you move some of these guys off your team no chance in hell. Some great young talent that could be sold or trained but...thats that!

13.Blunderestimated : 7-8 : Welcome to our league...lets some it up started about 2 weeks ago and bought 1 player 36 years old Center.....i am done here.

14.Jumpshooters : 1-14 : 10/2/12 started.....nothing.

15.ARGOS II : 5-10 : 10/2/12 started....same as above.

16.Step Back : 2-13 : 10/2/12 started.....trend.

There are a few thngs up my sleeve. Don't count me out. I wont win division or anything but my goal was not to get eliminated and I plan on shaking some things up toward the end
