I am going to undertake a study of enthusiasm. This is for a math project at school on a subject of my choosing.

I will attempt to create a formula that mirrors the one the BB's use to calculate exact enthusiasm numbers - specifically how fast enthusiasm returns to 5 each day.

I will need a lot of data for this so if you would be willing to help me I'll need a well kept log of what your enthusiasm was the day before and the day after each game and what effort level you used.

Example: 5 Normal (date) 5 --> 5 Take it Easy (date) 7 --> 6 Take it Easy (date) 8 --> 7 Crunch Time (date) 4 --> 5 Normal (date) --> 5

**Scrimmages count as using Normal enthusiasm**

Please BB-Mail me if you be willing to help me out, I'll post my results in this thread for those who are interested in being able to calculate the precise level of enthusiasm.



I know this won't be the most ground breaking or helpful contribution to BuzzerBeater's community but it will be interesting and I really need a project!

I would never think of using BB as a subject of math project but hey, it's not a bad idea. If you have to present it in front of a class though no one will understand what you're talking about, haha :D I'll help you if you want.

Guide to buzzerbeater says:


Salary
5 balls = $3,700 and higher
4 balls = $2,800 - $3,700
3 balls = $2,300 - $2,800
2 balls = $1,900 - $2,300
1 ball = $1,900 and lower

Potential
5 balls = 10 - 12 (MVP - All-time Great)
4 balls = 8 - 9 (Perennial Allstar - Superstar)

How funny would that have been, him studying enth for months when Joseph-Ka already had it :)
I know GS is close to random, but maybe you can find out how to get 9 GS every week without training it, or at least find out how many minutes it takes to get it.

I was thinking about this, it would be easier since I could see the information on any players page that I wanted. Plus I could see if factors like age, or how many total minutes over the season affect GS. For instance if a player has low gameshape due to not playing enough minutes throughout the season will playing more minutes than suggested raise GS faster?
