well u need to cut ur rooster down and find you stars to train. you have an 18 y.o hall of famer which is a great get. Buy a trainer atleast superior and begin to train. make sure he gets 48mins in the postion.

I would make sure you find 2 more trainees.

Whompas Donkeys is right. Keep Allan Brinkman and train him up in one position for the time being. e.g at PG or center for 48 mins per week.

Find two more young trainees to train alongside Brinkman. Either two guards if your going to train in the PG position or two forward centers if you are going to train the C position.

very important:
- Use TIE (take it easy) enthusiasm every single game until you learn how to strategically use it.
- Get your players to play between 48-70 mins each week to keep them in good gameshape.

important:
- keep on upgrading your arena. upgrade in short intervals between 6-9 days per upgrade.
- have a look in your own league or division at the prices of what other managers are charging for their arena tickets and copy them.

somewhat important:
- get a trainer, doctor and PR between the levels of 2-4.
- save money by not buying silly players.

ohh and before we give you anymore info (mainly tips, hints and tricks of the trade), we need a profile of you. A few questions to get things started.

Q1: How old are you?
Q2: Which state are you from?
Q3: AFL or NRL?
Q4: Male or female? or half half?

edited some spelling mistakes

So what exactly should I be training, there seems quite a few choices. Jump Shot, Inside Shot, Passing, Rebounding, etc. Ahhhh......head spinning stuff

Stick with OD for the rest of the reason if you are going to train guards
or
ID if your going to train bigs.

That should be a solid foundation before you know what you are doing. And also because defense wins games.

You live in blue territory but you support the cane toads? shameful.

Well at his height and age, you could train him anywhere. The best position that can best utilize his potential(with that height and age) would be SF, but those can take 8+ seasons to train. Try, shooting guard? Thats a good first trainee. OD, JS, PA, JR, HA, DR will be necessary, but mostly OD and JS.

One INSANELY important thing to remember is that this game is a marathon, not a sprint and you will not see results fast and you will not see immediate success, but if you plan correctly you can see a bright future with many successes.

One thing I learnt the "hard way" was not to write thanks all the time ;) Instead give the vets a +1 ball when they give you useful advise. They would appreciate it more I think.

Oh yeah and welcome! I'm the young gun around here lol

*btw, go the blues!!! (even though they suck)*

Great advice from everyone here. If you train OD make sure you set it to PG only as if you only train at one position you will get results quicker. Some skills can only be trained at 2 spots so that is cool if you have to do those but if you train guards make sure you do OD and passing at PG only then Outside shooting for JR at SG only.

Hope this helps

Finally though I am a Melbourne boy born & bread I can't help but echo Billy Moore's words QUEEEEENSLANDER
