Season 16:

New Champion is born. SLZH defeated Pekanbaru Jaguars, Shohoku Backers and Sessioes Doers on their way to their first ever Tournament Champions. SLZH will be the first team from Division II to represent Singapore for the Buzzerbeater Best game and they have written their name in history as the first ever team from Division II to win the Tournament which has been previously dominated by SBBL teams.

Season 17:

EricUnited ended their long wait for silverwares with a hard fought win against Compassvale United in the finals to secure the Singapore Cup. It seemed like CPU is going to have it, after their 5 point lead with 3 minutes left. But EricUnited, who recently repeatedly shown strong persistence when trailing opponent, having no problem to chase back. With Augusto Gomez was held deadlock at 4th (zero shot attempt), Harri Simenson and Peleg Schum picked up the slack to keep the margin close.

With under one minute and EricUnited trailing by one, Schum converted a layup off Simenson pass to bring EricUnited 130-129. But after a timeout, Italiano Giovanni Duskhu sank up a clutch baseline jumper to give CPU 131-130 lead with 15 seconds left. And on the final possesion, Augusto Gomez was able to show CPU why he is so popular with the fans. With his mad dash looking like he is driving for a layup, but suddenly dishing the dimes to Schum, and he sank the jumper from top of the key with 2 seconds left for 132-131. The Wobble Arena with mixed crowds are erupted. CPU failed to figure out the last possession, and EricUnited players jumped out in a joy, a joy that has been planted deep and very long time.

Althought scoreless at 4th, Augusto Gomez racked up superb 50pts and 9assists, hitting 10 3pointers on his own. Rainer Mand has 26pts before fouling out with 6 minutes left on 4th quarter. Peleg Schum has 22pts, scored 8 pts on 4th quarter. EricUnited manager, Eric was unavailable for comment due to a lengthy champagne celebration with his teams for their sixed Singapore Cup win in the locker rooms.

Season 18:

cheesecakee was the favourite for the tournament but they stumbled in the semifinals at the hands of SG Young Guns. After seeing cheesecakee's shock defeat, Phyo was wary of newcomer and underdog, SG Young Guns. Shwe Toe Ngal never underestimate their opponent and as expected, they won their final 112 - 94 and capture their first ever Singapore Cup.

Phyo: "I am glad that we have achieved our objective this season in winning the tournament, the team did very well in all 8 tournament games. The toughest one of them all and one that got me most worried was the one with EricUnited in round 5, but the team did not disappoint me and we won!"

Season 19:

FuTureSG was crowned champions of league Singapore II.1 in season 18. The team are lead by their twin tower, Márk Pesti (averaging 17.0 in rating and 20.5pts) and Julien Tiquet (average 16.5 in rating and 13.2pts). In their first-ever season in SBBL, FuTureSG surprises all by winning the Singapore Cup with a semifinal 94-70 win against ESPLANADE BASKETBALL CLUB and a final 97-75 win against Shohoku Backers.

Upon being their first time winning Singapore cup, the board and manager of FuTureSG had made an overnight meeting in their office before having their Singapore Cup celebration with all members of FuTureSG at clubhouse.

FuTureSG: "It's great being able to coach such a wondering club. After winning the cup, we have already start planning to improve and bring the club to another higher level. Our immediate target is to achieve the doubles by winning the SBBL title. We would keep almost all current players with us, with the most of 1 or 2 changes for the upcoming new challenge."

Season 20:

Compassvale United was crowned Singapore National Tournament Winner after overcoming ESPLANADE BASKETBALL CLUB (Country Rank: 1) in Round 4, EricUnited (Country Rank: 2) in the Quarterfinals, Shwe Toe Ngal (Country Rank: 3) in the Semifinals and finally Singapore Showstoppers (Country Rank: 5) in the Finals.

The team has been pundits favourite for the tournament with five players (Giovanni Dushku, Remy Wisgerhof, Jonathan Gosse, Ruudi Kallas and Lin Baoxiang) in the Great 8 allstar lineup. Key player, Ruudi Kallas (averaging 20.9pts per game) and Three Point Shot Competition winner, Jonathan Gosse (averaging 19.4pts per game) have so far led the team to an impressive domination in both league and tournament this season.

Shogun: "At the quarterfinals, when I saw we were drawn away to EricUnited, I thought our journey will end, but luckily, we survived. In the semifinals, with the score at 113-110, I thought it was over, but Remy scored a 3pt buzzerbeater to bring the game to overtime and we subsequently won the game! Winning this cup was definitely a very tough journey, but we did it, thanks everyone for the support!"
