This is a thread that I plan to do periodically regarding players that are most deserving of an MVP up until the actual vote takes place.
On to the races!
1. Fred Fountain (FC Shocker)- He is on the team with IV. 22's best record and is putting up crazy stats. 38.7 pts (55.9 Fg% 51.0 3p%) , 7 rebs and 7 ast! He has also completely shut down every other SG he has played this season while only taking 1.5 Pf in 46.9 minutes. Only thing that may hurt his chance at MVP is his GS which still hasn't stopped him from dropping monster stats.
2. Xiao Xebin (Flash Mashers)- Another player on a team with a great record. Despite playing only 27.8 minutes, he still performs! 19.0pts ( 64.2 Fg% 100% FT) and 13.5 rebs (4.0 off). An excellent defender as his past games have shown. His per 48 stats put other players at his position in the dust including his own teammate Porter Thomas, who also has a good shot at MVP.
3. Alginmantas Teresas (Sharks 13)- possibly the new best SF in this league and is catching up to Fountain in performance. His offense is excellent 33.5 pts (57.9 Fg% 38.9 3p%) while chipping in 7.2 rebs and 2.2 steals. His defense is not too shabby as he grabs his steals while on nabbing .7 Pfs per his 40.4 minutes. He is the key reason his team is where it is as many players aren't carrying their wait.
4. Porter Thomas (Flash Mashers)- The second part of a mighty big three. A solid 22.2 pts (63.9 Fg%) and 12.5 rebs in 38.7 minutes. He is also a major pest pulling 1.5 steals and 1.5 blks. While not quite as efficient as his teammate Xebin, he still is dominant.
5. Spiros Xiros (Flash Mashers)- The league leader in assistsin an efficient 30.8 minutes. Has proven to be dynamic as he can play PG or SG and fit into the offense without any problems. 13.2 pts and 1.0 stls. While his stats aren't the biggest he makes Thomas and Xebin that much more dangerous with his passing and great OD.
6. Hector Peralta (Detroit Darts)- Another excellent passer and scorer who can be played effectively from the 1-3 positions. A vet who can score 17.5 pts (51.7 Fg%), pass with 7.2 assists (1.7 TOs) and defend with excellent pressure at 3.0 steals. He may pass Xiros on this list soon as he is just a better rounded player, but for now Xiros' distribution and his team record tell the tale.
7. Martin Tran (FC Shocker)- the other half of FC's dynamic duo, Tran can score and distriute as he puts up 31.7 pts, 7.5 rebs along with 5.5 assists. While he is an excellent force on both ends of the floor, Tran plays 47.9 mins and needs to share the ball more in that time. On the other hand Fountain simply scores and passes more in less minutes. Tran is still a dominant force despite his ball hogging nature.
8. Jarrett Kohler (El Puerco Grande)- A young player on a fresh new team in this league who fits into a great offensive system. He helps move the ball (6.2 ast) and scores at will (22.5 pts). While one could place his teammate Bakhoum ahead of him stat wise, Kohler has proven to be more consistent.
9. Ken Omalley (Monster Island Kaiju)- While not a stat hog, an important young player on a team that is doing surprisingly well in spite of recent circumstances. 11.0 pts (58.1 Fg%), 8.5 rebs and solid tenacity 1.5 stl, 1.7 blocks and .7 pfs show how important he is to a well balanced team that really has no single superstar, but deserves an MVP.
10. Wendell Kincaid (Legend Killers)- A player who seems to carry his team at times, Wendell is saving a team that currently struggles on offense by dropping 24.8 pts and adding 4.5 rebs and 3.5 assists. Considering the team offense his assist count is pretty high.
Huang Ruoxiong (25.5 pts 13.2 rebs 1.5 blks) and Jason Varney (25.0 pts 6.2 rebs 8.0 ast) are both playing amazing, but a player must lead their team to wins to be of value. When the Miami Tigers and Royal Die Hard start to pull off some hard earned wins, then Ruoxiong and Varney have high ranks awaiting them.
