Hey guys, new season.

Looks like this league has a decent league forum!

I just dropped down from D.III after a season devoted to money making and training, I had the misfortune to land in III.1 the toughest D.III league out there so I thought it would be easier for me to relegate intentionally. Looking forward to playing some of the higher teams in the league to see where I match up

Thoughts on the season? Who's actually active in the forums?

Welcome to our little league. I had the same intention as you last season: to gut, train, expand and demote, however I kept unintentionally winning and ended up in the playoffs.

There are plenty of good teams here that really create some matchup problems.

Good luck this season.

Welcome welcome. Surely enjoy new faces. I've molted here in IV42 for about an eternity now, and have been sad to see most of our core erode... 2 years ago we were very deep, but lost some a few middle teams who went bot, and then a couple of the higher teams moved up.
Guess it just means it's about time to take care of business :-)

I'll try posting a league preview sometime soon if I get a chance. Here's to another season of hope and excitement :-)

Just a fun note.... Oakley promoted into the same league that the the rebels are in and they are currently rivals! both products of our league here IV 22. Look through the history, they are the same rebels who used to play here.

That is funny indeed that Rebels and Oaks ended up the same place with two different routes. Of course back in the day, it was a solid 1-3 battle for us. So that just leaves me wondering why I'm still here! 8-)

We'll see how it goes. I feel like I've got the right setup for the longhaul, still at least breaking even, if not positive, in general, and still developing. Looks like a pretty tight bunch, really can't circle me TOO excited to see such strong DIII competition come down and visit Flash Masters, but it'll be a good test. I've felt for a while like I can compete in DIII, especially given how the recent promoters have done, and so, honestly, looking forward to the challenge :)

I am also looking to get the pieces together to be a force in this league. The last couple seasons I have been focusing on staying in the league and expanding. Now I am getting to the point where I may finally have a contender by the end of the season. Last season my starting SF and C were both injured at the end of the season. With them back and a vastly improved back court this season (hopefully with a new PG soon :)), I may finally be able to call my team a force. My team will be much more versatile this season as I used to rely on my C for offense, now I can run outside focused offenses as well without any worrying. I have a few surprises in store this season. We will see how that d3 drop fares in our league, it may be a good gauge of how strong our division really is.

I'm in a very strong Div.III. I hope I do better against The Rebels now than I did when we were in Div.IV. I did win my opening game though, so maybe there's hope.

Goodness, anyone else notice the changes in the training system starting to really slow things down? I believe that's now only 2 pops in the last 4 weeks. Two player training, mostly young players all with plenty of room to still advance, proper minutes, level 5 trainer. It's starting to feel like pulling teeth, and if it keeps going this way, it's really going to crimp my plans! :-)
Anyone else having such troubles? Haven't seen much about it on the main forums... Maybe I'll just start rolling in pops in the next few weeks???
