I'm Yannoch the new coach of the NT.
My first task is to make the best selection for the country, in this purpose, I have made a list of the best players, one "TOP10" per position. If you think that anothers players should be in these lists...send me a message.
The team which will start the Europeen Championship next monday, will be composed of the firt and second player of each position.

THEY DID IT !!!

Today, it was the first game of the 8th European Championship, and it was...the first victory of Luxembourg NT in an official game !!!

Sakartvelo was the victim and the heroes were:

After the first period, the two teams were extremely closed (60-60) and at the end of the third quarter, Luxembourg was 4 points behind (82-78), but in the money time, our favorite players, especially Verhaeghe and Van Brabant more wanted victory and win the last quarter 31-15 !! and the first game of BB history 109-97 !!

[Another victory for Luxembourg NT !!!!

One month after the first victory of NT history against Sakartvelo, the Luxembourg players have made another accomplishment in beating Makedonija 79 - 84 yesterday evening !!

After 4 defeats which only goal was to grow up our enthusiasm, the game vs Makedonija was the 2nd most important date of the season...

Starting 5 for Makedonija:
PG-Cherepnalkovski, G-Miloshevski, SF-Lazarov, PF-Ignjatov, C-Foniqi (salary=660k)
Starting 5 for Luxembourg:
PG-Van Sundert, G-Hemerijckx, SF-Van Brabant, PF-Dexters, C-Niggemann (salary=129k)

Makedonija coach decided to play run&gun (to make a bigger difference like the other teams) and I decided to play Inside Isolation - hum hum...who said strange ? our outside players have good inside skills...so...why not ? in my speech I talked about audacious choices ;)

The game:
The 11 first minutes looks like a nightmare, when Cherepnalkovski pulls up at the top of the key and puts up a shot (in), the score is 27-11. (It was the biggest difference of the game...)
End of the first quarter: 28-17, only Dexters is makes a good game with 11pts, the rest of the team is sleeping.
During the next 12 minutes, Luxembourg players seems to wake up always lead by a Dexters on fire (22pts-12reb) and captain Van Brabant who scored 10pts in this quarter (21pts/30 for these two guys!)
51-47 at half-time, we are close now and we overbearing in rebounding ! 29 to 20 !
The third quarter is very intense, but the turn of the game happens after 35 minutes when Van Sundert confuses the defence with a great no-look pass to Niggemann who fires up a three-point shot from the corner and.... Scored !!! 67-66 for us !!! Makedonija will never lead the game now...
71-68 for us at the end of the quarter, thanks to Niggerman who made a good job with now 13pts and 13 reb !!
We win the last defensive quarter 13-11 with bravery and self-sacrifice. Dexters (again!) kept a cool head and made successfully 2 free throws at 47' -> 81-79 for us and after, with a last basket of Van Sundert with the glass and a three throw of Hemerijckx....we win the game 84-79 !!! Oooh Yeaaah !!!

The best Luxembourg players were:

R. Dexters (MVP, 33pts, 15reb)
P. Niggemann (15pts, 16reb)
J. Van Brabant (14pts, 14reb)

But I want to thank all the managers who are training and keeping game shape of all the players of the NT...

With this second victory, Luxembourg is now 87th in the World Ranking !!!!
