Looks like this will be my first season where I actually spend my draft points since I'll hopefully have a top 4 pick. So, a couple of questions:

1. What is the cutoff line, in your opinion, for choosing whether to invest in the draft or not? In other words, what pick do you have to be (only active owners included) to make it worth actually trying to get a good pick?

2. How many scouting points do you think are necessary to get a good pick?

Right now I have 18 saved up and if all goes as planned, this season will be the last time I have a top four pick until I promote again so I'd like to spend them this season if everything goes well and not leave much over.

Thanks

I was the 6th one to pick . I spent around 300k on the draft points, I don't know if it was a good idea or not. I got 1, not sure if 2 of the players I tried to get.

It depends. If the teams that are under you are not active teams, they might not use any points in the draft. It's about luck also. They might pick the players you are trying to get, or not. So it's kinda hard to say . Just hope for the best.

You should use 10 points so you can open Group Demonstration. That's really good, and worth the 10 points. Next I'd use 10 points on Scouting Combine, to pick the top 18 year olds. Then just interview players you think are top quality.

For me getting a good draft is not a skill, luck plays a big role. It doesnt really matter how many you scout as long as you get lucky.

Exactly, I know someone who scouted every 18 year old in the draft, sepnt $20,000 a week for the entire season and had the first pick. There wasn't a single good player in the entire draft and he sold the top pick for $130,000.
