On Monday, May 30th, the United States U21 team faces their biggest challenge yet, the Paraguayan U21 team. In honor of Monday's Memorial Day, many famous face have pledged their allegiance to the US and will be attending the game. Notables include Charlie Sheen, Lady Gaga, Rebecca Black, LeBron James, and many others. Sheen was especially excited, saying, "The United States U21 team is awesome. They seem like some good thugs and criminals, and would wanna visit me on my show, 'My violent torpedo of truth/defeat is not an option.' I know that when I am there, the team will be winning." Sheen was obviously making reference to himself in this press release.
As for the actual team, Rambo has realized that they are picking on new call-up Jimmie Brown, as he is younger than everyone else. He has claimed that he has been tormented, and he really is uncomfortable being on the team. However, coach Rambo did something magical to change Jimmie's fear to anger, and as a result, went out and shot 11-13 from the field vs. Puerto Rico, including 6-6 for 3, for 28 points. However, the star guards, such as Hubert Douglas and Lloyd Suarez, were not convinced. They made Jimmie drain 15 shots in a row - from 30 feet away. This is much farther than the three point line, but Jimmie delivered. After missing the first two, he started to heat up. His streak reached 6, 8, 11, 14. He took the ball and shot for 15, and it swished perfectly through the rim. The 21 year olds were so impressed that they promised to never bully Jimmie again.
Lastly, there has been some upsetting news involving Hubert Douglas this week. Douglas was arrested for marijuana possession, and has been released from jail on bond. His trial is set for July 24th - after his time on the U21 team is finished. Douglas' club team owner, moflaffle, has said, "As upsetting as this is, its just Hubert being Hubert. I'm really sorry for my team having to go through this. But, everything will be ok, I guess. He may or may not be suspended, I have not decided yet." U21 coach Rambo had no comment.
