I'm single position training 3 PGs. But my next opponent has been inactive so far and the final score is going to be 25-0. I'm wondering can my player still get 48+ minutes in this situation given that I only put 5 players in the lineup. Thanks!

Oryginal player receives 36 minutes
Backup player receives 10 minutes
Reserve player receives 2 minutes
Bench player receives 0 minutes

If player is set as original + backup on the same position, then minutes for backup player are cut to 50%, so he gains 36 + 10/2 = 42 minutes.
If player is set as original + backup + reserve on the same position then he receives 43 minutes.
If player is set as original + reserve on the same position then he receives 38 minutes.
If player is set as backup and reserve on few positions than minutes are cumulative without cut.
I'm not sure what happens if player is set as original on one position and backup or reserve on other positions.

thanks! It's awfully complicated. I think I'll need to switch to 2-position training because of this forfeit

is the dfference between the training you get by 48 mins and by 43 mins so dramatic that you have to change to team training? it says in the manual that minutes vs training gain is exponential so im guessing that it shouldnt be such a huge margin to give up 1pos training and get team training. Yet again i know nothing about the issue its just a guess from what i understand in the manual, if im wrong correct me please :)

this shows what exponential growth is about.. it's clear that there is a dramatic difference between 48 minutes and 43..

If training is a true exponential model, 43 minutes will get you roughly 80% of the training that 48 minutes normally would.

I tried that the last time I had a walkover.
Player A: Starting PG / Backup SG / Reserve SF
Player B: Starting SG / Backup SF/ Reserve PG
Player C: Starting SF / Backup PG / Reserve SG

And they all got 43 minutes. No way that I know of to game the system to get 48 (though I didn't experiment with setting one player as Starter at one position and Backup at two or more others).

I think combination as below should be interesting:
Player is set as PG+SG+SF+PF+C Backup ;-)
I expect 50 minutes ;-)
And if we add him to Reserve on all positions he should receive 60 minutes ;-)
