First off you couldve just bb-mailed me and gotten a simple answer.

18 yr olds are on the roster because they are about to go bot, so by putting them on the roster I save them from retiring. When they owner goes bot, the 18 yr old will go on the transfer list, and I will drop them from the roster. This happens at the beginning of every season. We don't have a real game for a few weeks so I have the ability to call up and drop whoever I want for a while, so might as well save some good 18 yr olds.

U21 roster is not set yet, and most guards turn out to be SGs instead of PGs. Most bigs turn out to be C's instead of PFs. Maybe you should check out the offsite forum if you want to learn more: (http://s3.zetaboards.com/BuzzerBeater_USA_NT/index/)

The 18 year olds on the National Team are there because they are on teams that will "go bot" soon. When a team goes bot, all of the players on the team are retired. However, if a player is on the National Team, they become a free agent instead of retiring. Our coaches do a great job of scanning the promising young 18 year old players and then using the roster space on the NT to save those players. Hopefully, some newer American users (people like you!) will buy those players and train them into future U21 and NT stars.

As to your second question, the final roster is not yet set for the U21 team. Additionally, the indicated position for each player is not necessarily the place they will play. More importantly, there is a very limited player pool for the U21 coach to choose from. If no one has trained any real PG's for the U21 team, then the coach has no choice but to use guys listed as SG at PG.

Why is it that all players from teams who go bot arent given one run through the transfer list? Is there a good reason for this that's been explained in some thread that I dont want to look for or should I post something about this in suggestions?
