Hi everyone this is my first "Official" thread. I would like to thank everyone that voted for me. I would also like to thank Hof for his great job for the last two seasons and hope he will be willing to keep on mentoring and helping me. I would also like to thank #23 for all his help both past, present and future. Finally I have to thank one person more than any other that made this possible, Samurai_Tungi who will also be my mentor and assistant.
Ok down to business. Who will be the initial U21 team? As everyone knows the team this season has a lot of issues and my main aim will be building for the future. So to begin with I am planning to have a skeleton of a team, just 7 real players. Then I will be adding to the team those players who need to be saved from botting, any amazing new players we discover. I may also have a special role for Mahendravarman Singh seeing as he is the future of India so I might add him very early on as well depending on who his manager is so that I can monotor him week to week and also get him extra experience early.
So who are our best players?
Well I wont post specific details here but if we are to have any sort of debate I will need to give some information. So here are our top 15 players listed by salary.
Name Salary Age Pot Height POS
Hashmat Gnanam 24966 21 6 178 pg Great passer, defender and scorer. Our best player by a wide margin. A lock.
Stephen Frankot 23892 21 8 188 sf Teriffic scorer but can't stop a girl guide from scoring. Maybe.
Aanandakumar Ghosh 23317 21 11 190 sg Trainee of our NT coach great scorer and solid all around player. Probably one of our top 5 players.
Aloki Peppin 22468 21 5 196 sf Solid all around SF who doesn't like to pass. One of our top 5 players.
Hashmat Firosh 22138 21 9 188 sg Defensive gun. Best inside/outside scorer. Versitile and skillful. Also great balance. Probably our second best player. A lock.
Dharmakeerti Kumar 18633 21 9 185 sg Well rounded but looks more like a 19 year old NT prospect than an U21.
Diganta Subramanyam 18210 21 8 188 pg Great point guard skills but hideous inside the paint and cannot buy a 3 pointer. Our third best defender.
Velmurugan Dey 14597 21 7 201 c Our best inside defender but will struggle to score in any situation and never make a free throw. The second best big man and that is very worrying.
Sarfaraz Ishtaq 12878 21 8 198 pf Our best inside scorer and probably the best big man overall, but not good in international standards where he will be facing $40,000 and up opponents every game.
Vidvan Balu 11536 21 9 213 c Competent big man, would be good if he was 19.
Vihar Pradeep Chand 10770 21 9 188 sg Competent combo guard who can pass a bit, score a bit and defend a bit but way below international standard in all areas.
Agnikumara Meeti 9964 21 5 196 sg Weak in guard skills but does rebound well.
Shipirist Rath 8376 19 7 196 pg Very similar to our other tier three guards but he is 19 so could be someone worth mentoring and developing. Really good for his age.
Aanand Rai 8363 19 6 183 sg Not even close to Rath but Rai is also 19 and very short so should develop fast. Worth watching.
Farooq Ishtaq 8282 20 7 218 c Can score inside and pass but very limited big man only here because he is 20 and has time.
Talavali Chinnakali 7772 21 9 183 pg A good defender by our teams standards but can't score at all.
Kaliranjan Selladurai 4577 19 6 198 sf Defensive specialist, you can never have too much defence. Coached by our own Rebel Without A Clue
