Is it even possible to train centers with passing, training, jump shot etc.

I have a 7 4 center that im training and he's terrible in those areas, I want him to dominate down low but i cant have turnovers.

You can train them in those skills but you'll have to play the C as a guard and it will take longer for a pop than you do with IS/ID/Reb

Related question: If you get an 18 year old trainee, let's say he's a center, and you want to improve his guard skills, is it more effective in the long term to do the guard training in his younger years, or to train his big man skills first and his guard skills in the later years of his training?

How about from a skills standpoint? Will training that center in guard skills when he's young really hurt his development as a center?

It won't hurt it, only delay it.
It all depends on what you're after. In terms of the finished product, it won't matter. Financially it makes more sense to train the guard skills first. But if you need him to contribute to your team *now*, then train the center skills first obviously.
