Well I know close to nothing about the standards needed for Indian division II but looking at your roster right away I can see the imbalance.

Your most expensive player is a PF, then a C, then a SF, then another SF then finally your last good player is a SG. So you don't have a good PG at all and overall your guards are very very weak compared to your bigs. To be balanced ideally if your best player was a PF then your second best would be a PG to get him the ball.

Here is your team's prospectus.

Here's the team prospectus (in BB forum format) for Golden All Stars (194804)*. Enjoy!

Golden All Stars (194804), Rahul

16-6, 3rd place (Great 8, II.1, India)
(Differential +440, Pythagorean record: 20.1-1.9)

Roster: 8 players, Age 24.9, Salary 89.7K (11.2K/player)

Game strategy (29 competitive matches):
* Offense: Motion 22, Base Offense 5, Push the Ball 1, Patient 1
* Defense: Man to Man 25, 2-3 Zone 4
* Enthusiasm: 8 less (0 TIE vs CT), 18 equal, 3 more (1 CT vs TIE)

Overall stats (max bbstat: 80 (32692904) vs Alexander the Great):
* GAS: 44.1 FG%, 35.5 3P%, 50.4 REB (12.5 O), 17.4 A, 8.9 ST, 13.9 TO, 13.4 PF
* Opp: 38.1 FG%, 27.3 3P%, 42.4 REB (10.4 O), 19.9 A, 8.4 ST, 14.6 TO, 13.9 PF

Very odd that you overwhelmingly play motion when that is an offence that relies on great passing. I would have thought your team would do much better playing look inside or low post. Also you played a 2-3 zone a few times, that is to shore up weak inside defence but that is your teams strength. I would stick to man to man or 3-2 zones. You shoot the ball well and rebound well. Your overall score of 80 is very low so something is wrong.

Carlos Ybarra is a great player but a lot of the others have issues. I would look to surround him with complimentary players. Your newest purchase José Francisco Cirera only averaged 0.2 assists a game last season, that wont help your big men.

Mind you I am not sure why the panic. You just flogged msr by 30 points and they put more effort into the game than you. However your match ratings again show the worst rating was your inept (low) Offensive Flow. You seem to have two reasonable passers in C. Halperin and B. Pierce but the rest of the team not so much.

Ofc it is important to have a balanced roster, but before that, what you need to do is analyse the opponent's strengths and weaknesses. This is what Indian managers aren't doing. If your opponent has strong inside defense but weak outside defense, you'd naturally want to choose outside based offense, such as motion, RnG, and if your opponent has strong inside offense but weak outside offense, you'd want to play defensive tactics like 2-3 zone. Don't stick to 1 tactic. That is a mistake. With your roster, you should be able to win almost all the games in your league, if you are attacking the opponent's weaknesses.

But you need more players. 8 players isn't enough to keep good GS. Maintaining high GS is very essential. Again, this is what Indian managers can't do: better GS will lead to better performance. Give your players between 48-72 minutes every week and their GS will stay around strong-proficient. In order to distribute so, you ideally want 11-13 players.

Your seat costs in your arena is too expensive. You need to lower them to earn more income. I'd say $17 for bleachers, $50 for lower tiers, $190 for courtside seats, $1300 for luxury boxes. Also look around in your league how much other managers are setting the seat prices for etc. And expand your arena too on regular basis.

Are you training any of your players? Can I take a look at your Indian players Shatrughan Dixit and Vihari Mishra? I can help you with how you should train them etc. If they are trained properly, they could possibly be part of India U-21 National Team.

P.S.
BBmail me those players' skills if you don't want to show their skills in the public forum.

The two things to remember are
1) Post often and you'll get help.
2) Have patience. India is easier because the quality of teams is so low but once you get to Div. 1, there is so much difference in quality between the top teams and the others. It will take a long time to build up your roster enough.

By the way, did you change your team name?

From the look of it, your roster has a good balance, except that your perimeter defense needs some improvements. I suggest that you replace some of your guards with players who have better OD. Defense is crucial in basketball and defense is a key to win a match.
Also, again, it seems that you only use motion and man to man. I can tell you straight away, that I've played 3-2 zone when I played your team in the past, and in fact that's what my history tells me. Using same tactics is a bad idea because managers, who keep track of what tactics other managers use, can easily select tactics that would maximize their chance of winning. Try to look at the opponent's strengths and weaknesses and change the tactics accordingly.

First I think you need two more trainees. You only have one guy under the age of 26. Training is by far the cheapers and most fun way to improve your team. You have Chitrada Porsezhian so I would get two more guys who you can train as PGs but make sure at least one is a better 20-22 year old player with at least a $10,000 salary.

You also have your four top salaried players as big men, now this may be ok if your guards are really good because they do have lower salaries but I would be a little worried about your big man/small man balance.

Just be careful when choosing tactics because some teams change the tactics on regular basis, so check the previous 5 league matches to see if there's any pattern etc.
This year's Indian draft has been quite poor it seems. But your 18 year old could become a great player with the right training, as his height is pretty short. BBmail me his skills if you still don't have an idea of how to go about training him.
