Hi, I'm a fairly new manager (joined last season) and I would like to receive some training advice for the player below. I was contacted by the NT scout about training him up for the side and decided that I will do just that, but I am stuck on how I should go about this. Last season I trained only jump shot for my whole team for the entire season and now would like to know how to train this player? I don't even know what position to train him as. Should he be a C, PF or SF? I have read the Guide about training and was thinking that I will go with one position training, but not sure. Advice will be greatly appreciated. I have an advanced level Trainer.

wow he is a great prospect. I think he can be a great C or PF.
But to start off with, I'd probably train rebounding, inside shot and inside defense.
Probably something like;
3 weeks of rebounding
3 weeks of inside shot
3 weeks of inside defense
or you could simply do;
2 weeks of rebounding
2 weeks of inside shot
2 weeks of inside defense
and repeat this cycle for the entire season. But at the beginning, you might want to focus more on rebounding and inside shot rather than inside defense, as they are lower.
Next season depending on whether you want him to be a C or PF, you can decide your training procedure. If you want to make him in a PF, you need to train JS next season until it's around...proficient (should be enough at this moment), train little bit of JR and some OD.
Talk to your U-21 NT manager and he can probably give you a precise training schedule so that thss player has more chance to make U-21 NT.

Hi 7even.

You should have been contacted by rcosta42 already. I'm not sure if he offered you a training plan or not but I guess you don't need to contact again because these people in this thread have already outlined his 18 y/o season. Next season you'll be contacted by another scout again checking up on you and hopefully asking you if you need advice.

However if you still need help with him right now please feel free to contact me, rcosta42, SpF, OSU, or smallfries.

Thank you all for the advice, it is greatly appreciated and did not fall on deaf ears.

I was contacted by the 18 yo scout and he told me to focus on IS, ID & RB this season.

Clarence already increased a level in RB after 1 wk of training.
