Let the mud slinging begin.....
I have a U-21 player.....How many times was I contacted by Taiyo....3 times and one was a double post.
Wow...That was a long, long, long speech..smoke and mirrors.. I mean come on..Saying that there wasn't a pipeline of players or the team sucked before you took over...that in itself is disrespecting the managers that came before you. I wasn't going to run for this position but to talk trash about the managers in the great 8..
I have to say I can't complain either on how things landed, except that I will have to endure another season of whining from the G8.

I think you only had 3 votes last time..To alienate 8 possible voters..Not a good idea

Hello, I am new here, and just learning to play buzzerbeater.
I would really love to be involved in the community and help develop players.
Unfortunately, my roster is extremely terrible and I do not have many good players to train.

I thought Taiyo's speech was very good. It was well laid out, and gave very good reason as to why he will be a good manager.

Good luck to you both! May the best coach win! :)

From: Taiyo

I agree Salary is not the best indicator but its something that everyone can see.

Higher salaries this year not driven by JR, RB, SB. Last season we did have one player with heavy weighting on JR but he has now graduated.

We have very solid OD, could still use some work on ID but better than last year.

Passing is a concern and have asked a few managers to work on that. We are overall solid on DR and HD but a few players are being addressed on the DR side. I stress with the managers to work on those skills becuase they tend to get thought of as secondary. I want guards to be well developed in all guard skills.

There never seems to be a shortage of JS, JR, IS.

I disagreed with salary as an indication of team strength in Taiyo's analysis

I totally agree with you Wolph on this...The only time salaries should be even talked about is the day after the offseason processing is done...My 58K C already had 4 pops by the AllStar break. Even one pop of anything will raise a salary. So he was no where near a 58K C. It is also a waste to scout players based on salaries because by the time you have a game it is already two trainings into the season. When I was a U-21 coach, I would watch the last two U-21 games and then the club games of their best players to see how the club and team manager would use the player. I think saying that player A is making 100K a week is a good player can be misleading. A player who scores 15 points and gets 12 rebounds but has 6 T/Os and 4 fouls isn't a good game. I think the managers of Japan will see that experience means a lot when we are talking about the U-21...Not just the guy with the longest speech...

Geez man, you just can't stop, can you.....

No where did I say I was selecting players or scouting teams based on salary. I do those based on game performance and skills.

The salary comment is just a high level benchmark.

BTW, it is the day after offseason processing so good time to benchmark when it fuly reflects the players skills.

If I do believe correctly, you used salary as an excuse to why you were not winning when it is a non-factor after the first Friday. Here is the post....(164839.26)
No where did I say I was selecting players or scouting teams based on salary

As you can see...You did say that because of the lower salaries of Japanese players you lost the two games...And the one game where you played a country that had less salary, you won. After 4 Fridays( that is when this post was written) salaries mean nothing. 3 ID pops or 2 passing pops is a whole different player. Now if you watch the games and study who is getting rebounds and when and who is passing the ball to who late in the game( shooters late in games mean high experience). You will realize who has what.

Good for about 3 days....
BTW..If you can't handle the debate and say things like...Geez man..blah blah blah...what are you running for?

OK...maybe you didn't understand me...I was talking about the scouting of the other teams players from the other countries we would be playing. Looking at the only the salaries of those players you would not know how good they are after the first training update.
Come on Wolph...I was talking about glitching a friend...there would be no friends managing U-21 teams from other counties. If LI is what are best option is..I run it...If a team plays a 2-3 zone every game...I will shoot over it....Don't worry about me. I got this..
