Round 1 MVPs (Iwen/Vios/Zyler Style)

Rampaging Marmots vs. Melbourne Goldfish 79 - 97

The Marmots certainly had the correct tactics but the comment by abigfishy before the game was, "He knows what I am going to play, but I am going to play it anyway and still win by 20." Well he was wrong, he only won by 18. Despite the 3-2 zone the four main Goldfish littlemen rained down the outsideshots on the Marmots all scoring between 16-24 points.

3 Radosław Rymer Melbourne Goldfish 16 PTS 8 REB 4 AST 11.5 rating. Radoslow scored the least of the 4 Goldfish guards but he added the most rebounds and the most assists in the least time.

2 Xie Guanzheng Melbourne Goldfish 17 PTS 5 REB 4 AST 11.5 rating. Very similar to Radoslaw but took longer and more turnovers.

1 Barry Ó Daire Rampaging Marmots 24 PTS 6 AST 11.0 rating. This Ireland NT player needed a Leprechaun by his side to stop the Goldfish onslaught but did his best to at least slow the bleeding.

Kynlala Knights vs. Pancakes with Jam and Cream 62 - 94

The Knights are not used to being on the wrong side of a spanking like this but with Kevin's two best teams going head to head someone had to lose. The super defence by the Pancakes made scoring a nightmare for the Kinghts with even NT player Dell'Asta being ineffective (8 points in 48 minutes). Except for the 1-17 from the 3 point line the Pancakes will feel very pleased with their efforts tonight.

3 Plínio Couto Costa Pancakes with Jam and Cream 18 PTS 10 REB 9 AST. One assist off a triple double and the Knights are not used to playing against competent SFs. PCC simply did a bit of everything. Coach C-Cat was heard before the game saying, "I've got a Brazillian you have to see" and according to abigfishy Datzilla was heard to reply, "I'd love to see that tonight."

2 Maciej Kuman Pancakes with Jam and Cream 13 PTS 16 REB 3 BLK 15.0 rating. A Smeltz like performance from someone who just may be the dominant big man in the league this season.

1 Shaun McArthur Kynlala Knights 19 PTS 7 AST 12.5 rating. Great coverage of the 3 point line, passed the ball well and scored, Shaun was the one Knight who didn't seem stuck by the Jam.

Maggots vs. Monkey Business 107 - 117

An excellent match which ended up being a battle of the backcourts where Dave Hamilton and Yakir Elbaz had a personal shootout, the only problem being Elbaz had the support of Stéphane Chaudier. Both teams defended well but both teams also shot well, however a couple of extra 3 pointers game the Biz just enough to get over the line.

3 Dave Hamilton Maggots 38 PTS 5 AST 3 STE 7-11 3-PTRS 13.0 rating. Great shooting, great defence, great passing, not so great team mates. Hamilton did everything possible to try and get his team over the line but his solo effort wasn't enough.

2 Yakir Elbaz Monkey Business 38 PTS 7-14 3-PTRS. He shot often and he shot well. While he didn't do that much else he did that well enough to get his team the W.

1 Yiannis Papapetrou Monkey Business 11 PTS 13 REB +/1-+17 13.5 rating. A defensive force but not enough to stop the Biz having him up for sale right now.

Koopasaurus vs. Viral Infections 93 - 75

Again the Infections tried to play with 5 players and again they got the same result. They also made the same horrible defensive choice against Koopasaurus that the Meateors did to give them a free ride to the ABBL. The way the Infections played this one is hard to understand.

3 Nicky Shipp Koopasaurus 27 PTS 9 AST 10 REB. One off a triple double Shipp sailed through the exhausted Infections defences with ease. Top scorer, passer and second top rebounder for the winning team leaves little doubt.

2 Alfred Rooney Koopasaurus 27 PTS 13.0 rating. An off passing night for Rooney but his stellar defence made up for it.

1 Ottavio Mottarda Viral Infections 25 PTS The perpetually for sale Mottarda was the one Virus that had enough energy to continue chucking up shots all game. He could be yours if you are willing to pay double the maximum of the TPE.

Zazzocalypse vs. Da Fat Boy Slim 108 - 115

Both teams got the defences right but the offences were so strong it just didn't matter. The Zazz guards led by Tonko Švorinic poured in a ton of baskets and won the battle of the boards but the Slim fat men led by Kye Duffill were just too efficient and the higher shooting percentage got them across the line in a tight one.

3 Kye Duffill Da Fat Boy Slim 35 PTS 19 REB 5 AST 5 BLK 14.5 rating. A simply stunning performance at both ends of the floor by Kye who will certainly be a top MVP candidate again this season. 5 assists from the big man was simply the cherry!

2 Tonko Švorinic 50 PTS 6 REB 5 AST 14.0 rating. A sensational performance that would normally be enough to secure the MVP even on the losing team but tonight was Kye's.

1 Jörn Bikin Da Fat Boy Slim 19 PTS 14 REB 5 AST 14.0 rating. Where Kye goes so does Jörn. Rock solid defence as well as efficient scoring and also a handfil of assists get him over the line.

Slam ! vs. Chelsea Seagulls 78 - 90

A game that was very close until the last minute saw Chelsea get home mainly due to earning and making a far higher number of free throws (25/33 to 12/20) and 3 pointers (9/28 to 2/14). Slam! rebounded better, shot the ball better and passed the ball better, they were just beaten by 1 and 3 pointers.

3 Oliver Ðuričko Chelsea Seagulls 28 PTS 8-10 FT 4-8 3-PTRS 11.5 rating. Oliver was the main Seagull that did the 1 and 3 point damage and he did it at a very efficient rate.

2 Klaudius Macko Slam ! 26 PTS 17 REb 8 O-REB 11.5 rating. Macko worked the glass relentlessly regularly finding the ball after a missed shot and converting. He was well assisted by Al Currier.

1 Vallo Tammela Chelsea Seagulls 22 PTS 4 REB 4 AST 11.0 rating. Vallo did a bit of everything and even added both a couple of steals and blocks.

Round 2 MVPs (Iwen/Vios/Zyler Style)

Koopasaurus vs. Pancakes with Jam and Cream 53 - 81

Having sold off half his team to purchase Wazza Kennerley it was an elite but undermanned squad that tried to flip the pancakes, however instead they ended up getting creamed and there was nothing sweet about it. Beaten in almost every position on the floor the Saurus's could have kept the game a little closer if they had actually hit some of the many free throw opportunities they were given.

3 Plínio Couto Costa Pancakes with Jam and Cream 26 PTS 8 REB 15.0 Rating. By far the best guard the Fish Bowl has ever seen CC humiliated Reasat Khan keeping him to 0 points in 40 minutes. Spank!

2 Maciej Kuman Pancakes with Jam and Cream 14 PTS 10 REB 6-7 FG 15.0 rating. While Pacheo had slightly more points, Kuman fouled less, had less turnovers, had amazing shooting efficiency and did it all in less minutes.

1 Alfred Rooney Koopasaurus 17 PTS 7 REB 4 AST 13.0 rating. The one player for Koopasaurus who wasn't intimidated, Rooney the veteran tried to run the offence but with his team mates shut down he just couldn't produce anywhere near enough.

Kynlala Knights vs. Zazzocalypse 102 - 82

This was supposed to be a masive match with the second best Guppy taking on the second best of Team Kevin. Sadly Zazzocalypse just couldn't get it going in the first half and while they did catch up a bit in the second to bring the margin down to 20 this was over way too soon.

3 Eugenio Dell'Asta Kynlala Knights 31 PTS 9 REB 13.0 rating. Dell'Asta the human flypaper was his usual sticky self: a hard man to stop with his ability to score from anywhere on the court and even more importantly able to guard any Zazzocalypse player that came near his part of the zone.

2 Gary Lawrance Zazzocalypse 26 PTS 14 REB 6 AST 13.0 rating. Despite being matched up against national team player and MVP Dell'Asta at the PF spot Gary was the most effective player for the home team tonight doing his best to at least slow down the Knights.

1 Shaun McArthur Kynlala Knights 18 PTS 9 REB 7 AST 13.0 rating. Shaun used his incredible defence tonight to ensure thatZazzocalypse got nothing easy from the perimeter and in the end they didn't hit a 3 point shot for the entire game.

Slam ! vs. Monkey Business 47 - 61

Slam ! was tactically brilliant but offensively incompetent they would have been better off trying to tell their opponents that bananas were on special at the local Safeway, at least that might distract them a little. You cannot shoot less than 25% and expect to win a game, Slam ! needs to work on their offence a lot !

3 Shi Deguang Monkey Business 10 PTS 17 REB 13.0 rating. Shi has 3 hobbies, missing free throws, fouling and playing defence. Lucky for the Biz he was working on his third hobby tonight keeping his opponent to 1-11 shooting from inside the arc.

2 Stéphane Chaudier Monkey Business 16 PTS 11.0 rating. Chaudier had the best +/- in the game as well as top scoring for the winners.

1 Eivydas Diekontas Slam !Grabbing 10 OTS 20 REB 20 rebounds while playing PF as par of a 1-3-1 zone is impressive unlike his shooting. He stopped this blow out from becoming a tragedy.

Rampaging Marmots vs. Viral Infections 64 - 88

The Infections discovered an amazing new tactic this game, called playing more than 5 players. While the 10 minutes in total players 6 and 7 were on the court wasn't a massive chunk of the game it was a move in the right direction. The Marmots were experimenting with the new tactics Outside Isolation and Inside Box and One but they didn't fare so well against the Run and Gun and 3-2 zone that was put up against them.

3 Ottavio Mottarda Viral Infections 37 PTS 7-14 3 PTRS 11.5 rating. To say Ottavio is a prolific scorer would be an understatement. This nasty germ has evolved to do one thing only, infect the basket with dozens of shots and leave his defenders needing an inoculation.

2 Sam Clune Rampaging Marmots 22 PTS 14 REB. The Marmots were becoming an endangered species on the boards but Sam from SF was the one camel who could get over the hump and his 14 caroms from the SF position should inspire his C and PF to get the job done.

1 Washington Tejera Viral Infections 9 PTS 23 REB 7 BLK 12.0 rating. While at times on offence he was seen just standing around watching Mottarda in wonder when in defence he was like a bad malaria carrying mosquito buzzing around everywhere but he was the one doing the swatting.

Maggots vs. Da Fat Boy Slim 72 - 81

An internal Sharks match featuring some of the star big men in our league ended up being dominated by the big Slim man, but it wasn't Duff Duff, instead Bikin controlled the paint in this game while the Maggots squirmed around the perimeter throwing up infinite futile 3 point shots against the rock solid 3-2 zone (4-29 3 point attempts).

3 Jörn Bikin Da Fat Boy Slim 29 PTS 15 REB 14.0 rating. While Duff Duff was throwing the ball away (8 turnovers) and missing wide open shots (6-21) Bikin was the model of efficiency (12-16 FG).

2 Eggert Indriðason Maggots 22 PTS 22 REB 6-6 FT 12.5 rating. No-one can shut Duff Duff down but Eggy slowed him down about as well as anyone not named Smeltz that this league has ever seen. Outstanding!

1 Yordan Kasabov Da Fat Boy Slim 16 PTS 8 REB 4 AST 11.5 rating. In addition to keeping the maggots to a pitiful outside shooting percentage Yordan did his best Jason Kidd impression pulling down 8 rebounds from the PG position.

The appeals committee has already been notified and is preparing its brief before these results have even been published.

Melbourne Goldfish vs. Chelsea Seagulls 102 - 125

The traditional Goldfish vs Seagull score fest ended up yet another massive total. While the Goldfish still claim that Xie is the second best SG in the league (few can doubt CC from Pancakes and Zyler has a fair guard too) Oliver once again staked his claim as at least Xie's equal. The Goldfish front line was greatly depleted due to the dirty, vile injury inflicted by Datzilla in their league game and the rebound imbalance that resulted cost the Seagulls the game.

3 Oliver Ðuričko 47 PTS 5 STE 12.5 rating. Not one MVP vote. Not mentioned in any all star teams. Ignored in all discussions about the elite players in the league: Oliver who at one stage led the whole of Australia in scoring last season is currently leading the entire Fish Bowl and was quoted as asking, "Where are my props?" He owned Xie tonight!

2 Don Gresham Melbourne Goldfish 22 PTS 17 REB 5 STE. With the other big fish currently swimming around a hydrotherapy tank 'The Don" has some big flippers to fill. He grabbed every rebound in sight and also scored with great efficiency despite being forced to play a Naker-like 48 minutes.

1 Jared Sherwin 9 PTS 19 REB 9 AST 7 STE 14.5 rating. 9 points and he gets a MVP point over Xie? Well in addition to the Smeltz standard defensive rating he was actually not far off a quadruple double. Any day your C gets 9 assists and 7 steals you have to be impressed.

Second appeal?

Round 3 MVPs (Iwen/Vios/Zyler Style)

Rampaging Marmots vs. Pancakes with Jam and Cream 71 - 108

The Marmots are in rebuild mode and something else must be going on because these tactics were whack.. The Marmots got completed flattened by the Pancakes, with the only joy for the Marmots being that they stayed close during the 1st quarter before being blown away. Talk about a tease by the Pancakes.

3 Björn Larsson Pancakes with Jam and Cream 34 PTS 8 REB 14.5 Rating. Took the baton from Couto Costa for the night. How the hell are you supposed to guard both Couto Costa and Larsson at the same time? Dayam..

2 Plínio Couto Costa Pancakes with Jam and Cream 20 PTS 5 REB 4 AST 15.0 rating. Took the night off to let Larsson dominate, however Couto Costa was still his efficient and dominant self when he took his turn to isolate against the crappy Marmots defense.

1 Dan Gardner Rampaging Marmots 18 PTS 19 REB 11.0 rating. Had a good game when the rest of the Marmots kinda sucked. Will be asking for a trade soon unless his team picks it up!

Melbourne Goldfish vs. Monkey Business 77 - 79

Huge match between the likable Fishy and newcomer Monkey. With Monkey Business leading the charge for the Guppies and the Goldfish struggling in the league, it was a must win game for both teams to boost their confidence.

3 Don Gresham Melbourne Goldfish 31 PTS 20 REB 12.5 rating. It is rare that a player from the losing team grabs all 3 MVP votes, but “The Don’s” performance was just too good to pass up. Top scored in the game whilst playing only 39 minutes, and was a super efficient 52% from the field. Was unable to drag his team over the finish line but a brave performance.

2 Edward Deltell Monkey Business 31 PTS 8 REB 12.0 rating. Had a great scoring performance and led his team to victory, but was not awarded the 3 MVP points cause he shot just over 40% for the game.

1 Yakir Elbaz Monkey Business 21 PTS 6 REB 2 AST 10.5 rating. Solid game from the Monkeyman, providing a great scoring touch and compliment to Deltell.

Zazzocalypse vs. Maggots 102 - 89

Zazz were looking to bounce back following last weeks pummeling by sexy Team Kevin and restore pride to the Guppies at the expense of the Sharks. Surprising tactics by the Maggots using their inside offense, which obviously sucks compared to their outside shooters. Ah well!

3 Jorge Antonio Villarreal Zazzocalypse 20 PTS 7 REB 6 AST 15.5 rating. Great impact playing only limited minutes. Was a nightmare to guard from the minute he stepped on the court. After being limited against the Sexy Knights of Sexy Team Kevin, he bounced back with a dominant performance against the smelly Sharks.

2 Darryl Schweisfurth Zazzocalypse 19 PTS 17 REB 10.5 rating. I don’t know how to spell his name, don’t think Zazz management do either. Regardless, he had a great game for the Zazz, gobbling up rebounds against the impotent inside offense of the Maggots.

1 Eggert Indriðason Maggots 17 PTS 5 REB 11.0 rating. Played well but spent so much energy trying to penetrate inside that he could only gather 5 rebounds all game...

Chelsea Seagulls vs. Viral Infections 91 - 100

The Seagulls came into this match favourites against the golden oldies from the Viral Retirement Village... Yet the oldies upstaged their younger counterparts, letting everybody know that they can put away the wheelchairs for another week at least. Strange tactics by the Seagulls considering that Virus never scores in the paint cause their players are too old to run that far down the court. At least this was an internal game between Calamari so Yoda’s brain fart wouldn’t cost the team.

3 Paco Garrido Viral Infections 32 PTS 4 AST 11.5 Rating. Lights out from downtown, shooting 5-10. Stood up and was counted when Tejera went down injured from what reporters initially suspected was a stroke.

2 Oliver Ðuričko Chelsea Seagulls 35 PTS 8 REB 4 AST 12.5 rating. Exploded on offense and was the most efficient high scorer in the game but couldn’t lead his team to victory in the clutch

1 Sandel Nica Viral Infections 33 PTS 5 REB 12.5 rating. Jacked up too many shots to get his 33 cost him his 3 MVP points but I guess if you keep shooting it’ll go down eventually right? He got to the line many times though, so this old dog still has some legs in him.

Koopasaurus vs. Kynlala Knights 54 - 79

The captain of the Sharks Koopasaurus come up against the Knights and their young guns. Defense of the young Knights totally smothered the Koop, with star recruit Wazza having a shocking offensive game. With injury to star PG Rooney, Koopa stood no chance from the very beginning. Only scored 8 points in the first quarter and 5 in the 3rd... WTF.

3 Shaun McArthur Kynlala Knights 28 PTS 4 AST 14.0 Rating. Future NT Star McArthur had another fantastic offensive and defensive game, scoring a cool 28 points from 11-17 FG and keeping his opponent Khan to 3-15 shooting.

2 Hector Pereira Kynlala Knights 16 PTS 16 REB 13.5 rating. Finally justified his salary, kind of.. Had a dominating inside performance, eating up rebounds and slamming on opponents heads.

1 Wazza Kennerly Koopasaurus 30 PTS 11.0 rating. Basically shot his team out of the game from the very beginning but eventually started making shots when the scrubs of Kynlala came into the game in the 4th. Needed 41 shots to score his 30 points, going 0-9 downtown whilst being guarded expertly by Dell’Asta.

Slam ! vs. Da Fat Boy Slim 96 - 101

Slam ! Waltzed into the arena with their 330k big man. Big man produced. Slam ! Fell short. Everyone’s favourite tankers Da Fat Boy Slim came away with a tight win against the underdogs. Looking forward to seeing what else 330k can produce in the coming rounds

3 Yordan Kasabov Da Fat Boy Slim 39 PTS 7 REB 12.5 Rating. Kasabov took over the offense tonight with the Fatties deciding to play an outside offense. Expertly shot the ball and racked up 39 points from 30 shots.

2 Fanis Zoumpadellis Slam ! 27 PTS 17 REB 4 14.0 rating. Made his Fishbowl debut and the signs were positive. Expecting more production from 330k in future rounds though..

1 Kye Duffill Da Fat Boy Slim 19 PTS 15 REB 13.5 rating. Locked down on defense and was efficient on the offensive end. His usual self.

Round 4 MVPs (Iwen/Vios/Zyler Style)

Chelsea Seagulls vs. Pancakes with Jam and Cream 65 - 112

A painful game for this Commisioner the Seagulls were outclassed in almost every aspect. Couto Costa was raining down bombs all night, Dowd and Long completly shut down the Seagulls PGs and in general the Pancakes were able to control the glass.

3 Plínio Couto Costa Pancakes with Jam and Cream 42 PTS 5 AST 16.5 rating. The man I expect to be the league MVP this season was facing the leagues scoring leader Oliver "Ducky" Duricko. With such amazing lockdown defence on Ducky that he went 2-18 on 3 point attempts you can forget how efficiently he scored his own 42 points. Sensational!

2 Maciej Kuman Pancakes with Jam and Cream 16 PTS 12 REB 16.0 rating. You get a lot for $160,000 a week and in limited minutes (he didn't need more) Kuman showed what a real player can do. Helped keep the opposing PFs to 3-19 shooting.

1 Jared Sherwin Chelsea Seagulls 6 PTS 17 REB 6 AST 14.0 rating. 6 points and fouling out doesn't usually get you a MVP point but considering he had the most rebounds in the game, the most assists in the game, the most offensive rebounds in the game and helped the Seagulls to actually achieve a better inside defensive rating than the Pancakes, Jared was able to say after the game,"I was drafted in the ABBL, I feel at home with players of this quality more than with the spazos on the Seagulls."

Koopasaurus vs. Zazzocalypse 55 - 85

The half of the team that did show up for Koopasaurus were thoroughly outclassed with only Wazza the man Koopasaurus traded the rest of their team to get putting up a decent fight. When you have to play Carl-Josef Kähler aka the Sheep Shagger for 48 minutes you know things are bad.

3 Gary Lawrance Zazzocalypse 16 PTS 21 REB 12.5 rating. Defence wins games and Gary provided tons of it grabbing every board in sight and keeping his opponent to 6 points.

2 Jorge Antonio Villarreal Zazzocalypse 32 PTS. While Gary brought the D it was Jorge that had the O shooting both a great volume and a great percentage despite being guarded by the one good player Koopasaurus suited up.

1 Wazza Kennerley Koopasaurus 32 PTS 13 REB 11.5 rating. About the only player for Koopasaurus who wasn't totally ineffective he still shot badly while allowing his opponent Jorge to score at will. Nicky Shipp after the game was heard to claim that he would have done better.

Viral Infections vs. Monkey Business 70 - 91

The Naker Virus tried his 5 man team experiment again with the usual results. 5 tired players just getting blown away in the 3rd 25-8 before they got to salvage a little in the 4th in garbage time. As usual Monkey Business had an even performance from their very even team. The Virus had his tactics right but the strong defence of Monkey Business allowed few easy baskets and by the end of the game most of the Infections had to be driven from the court, in a ambulance, straight to the transfer list! (c) Zyler.

3 Júlio Peixoto Viral Infections 23 PTS 25 REB 10 O-REB 14.5 rating. In a game where almost the entire Monkey team was effective, but none outstanding, as usual, J-Lio was outstanding. Top score, most rebounds and best rating in the game, he did everything his coach asked him to do.When interviewed about his performance after the match, Coach Naker said, "If you buy him now you get a free set of steak knives."

2 Eduard Deltell Monkey Business 17 PTS 7 REB. This could have been half a dozen players but Eduard distinguished himself with the best score for his team and keeping his opposing SF to 8 points.

1 Marco Manara Monkey Business 13 PTS 7 REB 13.5 rating. A solid performance was capped by the best defensive rating for his team.

Changed due to appeal:

3- Eduard Deltell
2- Marco Manara
1- Júlio Peixoto

Slam ! vs. Maggots 110 - 114

Few would have given the Maggots much chance against Slam ! and their $340,000 monster man Fanis Zoumpadellis but the Maggots hunkered down in their 2-3 zone, kept the ball away from him and in the second most exciting game of the round managed to hang on while their big lead of 12 with 2 minutes to go was wittled down to 4.

3 John Urwin Maggots 38 PTS 6 REb 14.0 rating. The Onion made everyone one Slam !'s eyes water as he stuck in dagger after dagger from everywhere on the floor. Slam ! may have controlled the paint but they had no answer for an Onion on the perimeter.

2 Fanis Zoumpadellis Slam ! 26 PTS 15 REB 13.5 rating. 340 did everything asked of him at both ends of the court and was the monster as advertised but while his guards did move the ball well into him, when they couldn't get the pass inside they were very innefective.

1 Dave Hamilton Maggots 26 PTS 5 AST 13.0 rating. There was actually a very tght battle at PG between Hamilton and Santrino Taliani but in the end Hamilton came away with the win and the MVP point.

Rampaging Marmots vs. Kynlala Knights 60 - 115

With the Marmots fighting relegation and the Knights looking at promotion the stage was set for a mismatch. With RabidCamel ordering a CT to clinch a citical win in league things got even worse. This was an ugly slaughter from start to finish and the less said the better.

3 Shaun McArthur Kynlala Knights 38 PTS 14.5 rating. McArthur claims he is now the key player on the Knights and tonight he was both scoring easily and being both brick and wall to his opponents Too Cool.

2 Eugenio Dell'Asta Kynlala Knights 22 PTS 24 REB 13.5 rating. Only 5 turnovers marred an outstanding night for the number two Knight.

1 Duong Tôn Kynlala Knights 15 PTS 10 AST 12.5 rating. Give the ball to Mac and Dell and get out of their way. Tonight it was that easy.

Melbourne Goldfish vs. Da Fat Boy Slim 79 - 73

There was so much feeling in this match that riot police were in attendance and the referees were wearing flak jackets under their uniforms. And the packed crowd wasn't disappointed with a match where the lead changed hands several times and Datz was up by 4 with two minutes to go until the Goldfish came swimming home with a 19-9 last two minutes. Both teams played the tactics that suited their teams but in the end some clutch shooting for the Goldfish got them home.

3 Xie Guanzheng Melbourne Goldfish 22 PTS 6 REB 4 AST 3 STE 11.5 rating. While it is not true that Xie had nails in his hand when he shook with Duff Duff at the start of the game it is true that he nailed everything when it counted scoring 7 points and a critical steal without a miss in the last two minutes.

2 Kye Duffill Da Fat Boy Slim 29 PTS 18 REB 14.5 rating. A fantastic performance by Duff Duff who is clearly one of the dominant big men in the entire league, was slightly soured when after throwing down a powerful dunk with just over two minutes to go he didn't even touch the ball for the rest of the contest except to inbound every time after Xie scored.

1 Jörn Bikin Da Fat Boy Slim 17 PTS 28 REb 13.0 rating. A dominating performance on the glass and fighting to the very end saw Bikin also dominate the big fish of abigfishy.

Round 5 MVPs (Iwen/Vios/Zyler Style)

Monkey Business vs. Pancakes with Jam and Cream 68 - 82

In one of the few games that things could go sour for the Cream things did get whipped up a bit. One team was not Monkeying around and in keeping probably the best player in the entire league, Plínio Couto Costa, to 5-23 shooting, showed that they can play some defence. Yakir Elbaz would have gotten a MVP point for this amazing feat if he hadn't gone 1-12 himself. In the end Monkey did find himself in a Jam as the Pancakes were both stacked and sweet.

3 Werner Efinger Pancakes with Jam and Cream 16 PTS 16 REB 8-12 FGS 15.0 rating. On a night where PCC just couldn't find the basket Werner was the model of effieiency. Scoring at a great clip and rebounding and defending like a man possessed.

2 Benson Babitu Monkey Business 20 PTS 8 REB 10-12 FGS 15.5 rating. Benson came off the bench and in 20 minutes gave a display of outstanding efficiency. This draft pick of Monkey Biz has been loyally toiling away to make his team better for seasons. His reward? He is up for sale and can be yours for a mere $750,000.

1 Maciej Kuman Pancakes with Jam and Cream 12 PTS 11 REB 15.5 rating. The other $160,000 a week player on the Pancakes did earn his paycheck this week playing his typically efficient, if unspectacular, game.

Zazzocalypse vs. Slam ! 115 - 100

In a surprise move Slam ! went away from their $350,000 man Fanis Zoumpadellis and instead decided to let all of their $10,000 players have a fair share of the ball. This was a very egalitarian decision which all supporters of fair play will applaud. While it didn't result in a win it was a great example of fair play that little leaguers all around the world can use as an example. The other news was that Zazz successfully did a Naker playing just 6 guys and one for only 5 minutes.

3 Tonko Švorinic Zazzocalypse 43 PTS 8 REB 6 AST 7-13 3PTRS 8-8 FTS 13.5 rating. While Slam ! went away from their strength Zazz didn't and Tonko delivered dagger after dagger from everywhere on the court. The boy can shoot from anywhere!

2 Fanis Zoumpadellis Slam ! 36 PTS 15 REB 17-23 FGS 14.0 rating. Fanis laughed at the puny attempt at 2-3 zone and was unstoppable every time he got the ball. But after the match the big Greek did comment that he was annoyed that "The little butsos hogged the ball" when they were shooting less than 33%.

1 Noe Diggles Zazzocalypse 9 PTS 19 REB 4 AST 4 BLK. There was a vast gap between the top two and the rest but a solid effort on the boards against the amazing Fanis gets Noe some props.

Melbourne Goldfish vs. Maggots 76 - 64

These teams were meeting the very next day in a league match so there was a chance for either team to try and use some misleading tactics which the Maggots did with their Inside Isolation. In the end the main factor was the Goldfish has a massive advantage in both defensive ratings and rebound ratings and their 14 extra rebounds no boubt accounted for their 12 extra points.

3 Xie Guanzheng Melbourne Goldfish 23 PTS 7 REB 12.0 rating. When your starting guards get 15 rebounds it helps on the boards a lot. Xie wasn't efficient but everyone struggled scoring tonight, few more than his opposite "The Onion" who was held to 10 points off 17 shots.

2 Christian Brakenhoff Maggots 15 PTS 5 REB 3 AST 3 BLK. No-one on the Maggots scored well but at least Christian did get some points up as well as contributing in several other ways.

1 Silvian Grigorescu Melbourne Goldfish 19 PTS 16 REB 13.5 rating. Silvain stepped up as the big man tonight. While "The Don" suffered through a horrid 0-6 night Silvain was both efficient and productive.
