there were 7 teams from ABBL/div II teams that have come to a sudden halt in their cup run this season (I have put the teams ranking in brackets after them).

ABBL
Bell Park Supercats (6) lost to Love 2 Spoog (105) - the first of the ABBL to go down.

Div II.1
Razzle Dazzle (31) lost to Avalon Jets (5) - bad draw for Razzle first up

Div II.2
Druken All Stars (30) lost to Aussie Hammers (269) - the worst loss for any on the teams

Div II.3
Vios Violationers (37) lost to Dynamic Dazzas (129) - will hit the pround team Vios hard
All Sorts (87) lost to Pancakes with Jam and Cream (4) - what would you expect?

Div II.4
Slam (98) lost to Saintstars (69) - lost to a DIv III team, but were the lower ranked
Karmar (54) lost to The Little Wannabees (270) - The Little Wannabees get a scalp they will nail to the clubhouse walls


If you were robbed, if the draw was rigged, if the refs were paid off, post it and let us know (You may have been the team paying off the refs)

For my game The Meateors (21) -v- Adelaid Carp (394) They got the jump on me and gave me some heart attacks. They got their noses in from in the 1st, with some crazy shooting, and it wasn't until the last qrt that I got my nose in front, then went away to win by 12pts. My bench tested my faith in them to get me through the early rounds.

Nice summary. I am in div 2.4 with Slam and Karmar and was quite surprised to see them lose to such bad teams!

Unlucky, but in the early stages anyone can beat anyone. It is better to draw someone like Dire, for example, in the first round, because it won't be as hard to beat him. So drawing Monkey is unlucky, but not a certain loss.

Exactly...never know what might happen come game day ;)

I might decide to focus on league, or I might go on a cup run.....who knows? :P

i drew dire in the first round once and let me tell you it sucks seeing everyone else beat up bots and d4 noobs getting 50k a week for nothing and sending their enthusiasm way high

i would much rather get him in round 5 after 4 weeks of sweet cherry picking like everyone else

I have to agree here.
It sucks because I have never made it past round 4 and only made 3rd round a few times. I always get ABBL in round 3 & 4.

In my first 'full' season I got to the final 32 teams. Considering what my team was like, it's a little ridiculous! Mind you it's better than the old Hattrick system (not sure if it would still be like that these days...)

You got through by beating bots.

You drew him first round and you proved my point. You decided to play scrubs against him and TIE and only just lost the game. If you had decided to play a full strength team you would have won. However if it was in round 5, he would play a stronger team in the cup, so you would have less chance.
