welcome

i have good news and bad

good news you are born in one of the most active leagues in aussie bb

bad news it is div 3 and not just div 3 probably one of the 3 hardest div 3s

if you want some tips on how to beat some of these hardened vets just ask

-oh and the things that you do in these first few days are critical - dont spend too much of your money until you get advice!

If he's taking the Egmont Elites team, he'll be getting demoted to div4. Strange that he is, rather than starting in div4 like most.

Hi,

I played my first season of buzzer beater last season (season 15) in division 4 and won every match. Still a bit unsure on the best tactics for this game as i found last season so easy. I invested heavily in getting a lvl 5 trainer over the offseason and was just planning on training up rookies this season. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also thanks for the welcome.

You're in the wrong league forum mate but I'm sure a few of the boys around this part will be more than happy to help you out with anything you need.

What is your new level 5 trainers salary if you don't mind me asking? It should be around 20-25k at the moment to get the best value out of him.

Noramlly it is very easy to survive in division III and so in your first season you just need to win the few key games against your rivals for relegation and train, train, train. Saving money and building up your arena are also important.

I like that tactic Swendle, train some great rookies, Aussies if possible. Get them to the U21 and beyond! Will be a couple of seasons before you can go for promotion... Trust me.

My trainers salary is 17k so i am pretty happy about that atm.

My weekly income is 130k right now as well so i should be able to save some good cash this season.

Is it worth investing the 40k per week on scouting?

I dont have any real rookie talents that i would want to keep but i guess i can build some cash and focus on getting some/ the draft for next season.

Thanks for the help guys, appreciate it.

I'd recommend grabbing 2-3 decent 18 year old guards to train this whole season, they don't need to be great but try and make sure they have at least perennial allstar potential. Ditch some players you don't need and buy another good big man so you have some depth and a higher chance of not relegating this season. Then after you have that set up you should be free to train the whole season and stay in Div III where the money is definitely a step up from Div IV.
