Hey everyone,

Just thought i'd start getting the message out there a bit more about the growing aussie community we have going. Some of you will already know about it but for anyone who doesn't know about it yet and especially for new players or players who want a bit of help with their team, this can be a great resource for you.

You can get involved with the national representative teams and learn what it takes to train a NT quality player up for your own team or just talk strategy and have your questions answered by some of the most experienced, successful teams in the country.

Details can be found in this forum post: (156854.1)

If there are any issues or questions, feel free to ask :)

This forum seems like your own personal forum instead of the league forum so most of you will just ignore this but i thought i'd put it here anyway :P

Haha you just check too many forums then. Seems neither of us get enough sleep and both of us spend too much time on Buzzerbeater! :P

I posted it on the Div3 and Div4 forums. We're trying to really step up the noobie help and get everyone involved. We'll stop seeing a lot of good rookies wasted and hopefully keep more people interested in the game because they'll know what's going on, grow the community and get more people talking etc etc

haha well I have like a dozen forums listed as "favourites" and so anytime there is a message I post it :P Just so happens I have a few league forums listed :P
And I just got home from a great night out so enjoying some BB before I sleep :P Everyone on BB spends too much time on BB haha :P

Definitely a good idea to get the new guys involved, the more people that train Aussies the better we will be.

haha nothing is impossible jw.

Pretty sure that's you who registered on the offsite forum jw but you'll just need to send me a bb-mail to get your account activated if you could please, a message on the forums won't do it.
Basically just need to know that the request if coming from an Australian BB team to make sure nobody from another country is trying to be sneaky or anything like that.

If they wanted to infiltrate our off site forums its not that hard to do..
just make a div4 team and request access with a BB mail to you and voila they have access to our strategies and off-site forums.

To full proof this I think they should at least be active on these forums first. This proves that the teams are actually real individuals and not some random person from another country. If they aren't going to be vocal in the BB forums how would they even be vocal in the of-site forums.

I agree it would be easy to infiltrate. But how do you test for activeness? If someone really wanted to infiltrate the offsite forum they could pretend to be active anyway.

I agree it's not perfect but what's the alternative? You can't really say that you need a months worth of BB forum activity first, that'll just turn away too many new players i think.

Best we can do is just make regular activity checks like if someone is visiting the offsite forum regularly but they haven't logged in to their BB for a month for example, we'll know something is suss.

I'm open to any other suggestions though of course.

Yeah I don't think there should be a time limit before you can get membership. Don't know what else there can be. Is spying a real problem and something most countries try and do a lot of? If it isn't a big problem then I think the current system is fine. If it is a big problem, then I'll try and think of a more secure way. But there is no obvious solutions that I can think of right now.
