The last season saw High Toppers come away with what seemed an unlikely victory in three games over the Victoria Salmon Kings. With Big 8 Smooth Operators promoting with a regular season of 21-1, Victoria and the new teams from the western conference now set to be this seasons conference winners.

In the eastern conference, the only remaining active teams from the previous season is the Lucky Bouncers that finished 3rd seed in the east. With many teams that have not logged on since the beginning of September, the eastern conference has yet to show it's actual strength.

In terms of individual stats, a lot of room has been made to new players and veterans now with the post season promotions. Who will be this seasons top scorer?

Good season to all.

That was definately a tough loss in the finals last season (The home court advantage had a lot to do with it along with the tactical errors made by me), but I think this season it's going to be tough for anyone to knock of the Salmon Kings.

That being said, good luck to everyone!

With 18 seconds left, silence fell in Your Parent's Driveway Arena as Chaim Zidgon's (5222217) shot from the top of the arc splashed the nets to put the Victoria Salmon Kings ahead, 68-66. Victoria then made no mistake to seal their 4th straight win, going 4-0 with a final score of 69-66 (26387986).

At the press conference, the coach of the Super Slam Dunks commented that although the Salmon Kings are strong, they came very close. "There were a lot of positives for us in this game, for one HabsIMO said he's going to treat us to ice cream."

There were also other active teams facing off elsewhere in the league last night:
Austin`s Team, now 3-1, defeats the Wild Wolves 109-103 (26387992) in a grueling double overtime.
Lucky Bouncers (3-1) beat Paulo Posse 109-89 (26387991).
TheMarauders wins 78-56 (26387988) against Calgary. TheMarauders are now 4-0 is tied with Victoria at the top of the standings.

Last Season was great and I as the GM of the High-Toppers had a lot of fun playing in league IV.4, Best of luck to everyone this year, and I am finding the caliber of teams in League III.3 is pretty high as I will be hoping not to get regulated this season. Again Good luck to all and hope to play you in the future.

12 games in and it's obvious who the Top 3 teams in this league are (Victoria Salmon Kings, TheMarauders, and SSDTMYSTDA).

Things will get very interesting come playoff time!

The playoffs were decided in two big games--both very close and last minute. We also got some very interesting upsets as the season was coming to an end with TheMarauders bringing Victoria Salmon King to their first defeat of the season then the 2nd seed losing to new team Henry Wisewood Spartans. It was fun playing you all. I wonder why Victoria left. That could have been a very different semi final. No matter who gets promoted, I think the west conference will still be dominant with Calgary K9 and TheMarauders having one or more seasons of experience now and Spartans finishing strong. And for the east, I predict Wild Wolves, having won 6 of their last 8 games, to lead their conference.

Good luck to all of you for next season.
