allstar-potential players can make it up to around 70.000$ salary, so you can keep train him for quite a while. At least two seasons if you want.
Maybe some experienced center-trainer can give you some specific skills until hitting the cap.

Thanks for the reply.

I basically want my centre to be a great defender so inside defence and rebounding are most important. His handling is terrible but his turnovers are no too bad. He steals more than he turnsover so I`m pretty happy with him.

If you train rebounding and inside defense only, I think he can make it to wondrous at least. Maybe you want to add some shot blocking, since you want him to be a defender.

I assume his handling could become a bigger handicap in the future since also you opponents in your league will become better. But I wouldn't waste time on sub-skill training on hi, since he is already 20, and, handling isn't too important for centers.

I suggest he not train Shot Blocking. In the course of getting the player above to wondrous ID, he will get 1 or 2 pops in shot blocking.

I made up the idea about getting him to wondrous:) He can decide whether he wants ID and RE as high as possible, or waive a few ups and add some shot blocking instead.
