It's really unfortunate that my first act as NT manager is to have to make this post, but I think it's important that this is dealt with publicly and clearly as soon as possible.

I recently received a message from Wozz, the American NT coach, who informed me that on July 3rd he received the following message:

want me to spy on the canadian NT in the offsite forum? i can give u player stats etc..

Wozz is a stand up manager and declined the offer and messaged me about it. After consulting the outgoing Canadian manager and moderator of the offsite forum (Rip) and the u21 coach (Mogul) it was decided to ban shootingguardmagic from the offsite forum. We have no ability to level punishments on him in the game itself.

This is really, really unfortunate. It's always a risk that certain people may sign up for the offsite forum for immature reasons and undermine other people's hardwork and this appears to be such a case. There is the risk that posting skills and tactical information will result in info being leaked out but for now I plan on continue to post so that there can be community participation and so that other managers can share ideas and learn from each other. Unfortunately behavior like shootingguardmagic's endanger this sort of interaction and I think the community should be made aware of his bizarre decisions. So I am just requesting that people be honest and fair going forward and try to keep the info on the offsite forum underwraps.

Personally, I will not be offering him any advice, sharing ideas with him, listening to his "suggestions" or considering any of his players for any level of NT service and it would not be out of line for other managers to respond in a similar way. (of course it is unlikely that any of his players will come within striking distance of the u21 or NT any time soon)

It has been reported, but speaks volumes about this players motives. I agree with Chris, players like him deserve no help or guidance so do your best to make his life tough. And please let me draw him in the Cup, I want to see his NT SG prospect first hand :)

Is nobody else absolutely disgusted by shootingguardmagic's behavior? This was the same person who wanted to be our NT coach and who when he realized he wasn't going to get it ran to the US NT manager to try and sabotage our team. His behavior is horribly juvenile and just further goes to show that we were correct not to take him seriously as a candidate for the NT. Lets hope he remains an unimportant Div IV manager for many many seasons to come.

Chris, first of all congratulations for being the new NT coach.

I think majority of the Canadian managers should have ignored shootingguardmagic by now based on his actions and attitude.

beanerez, if you are playing his 'allstar' squad, make sure you beat him by100. I will do the same if I play him...

I hope there is a way to block him from the Canadian Forum on BB so that he can be eliminated completely....

Forgot to give massive respect to Wozz the US NT coach for informing Chris of shootingguardmagic's behavior, that is a classy manager.

Just wanted to add that I also received this message. I just ignored it as I had a very busy weekend.
You guys run a class operation over here and you have some great ideas (some of which I'm borrowing). Keep it up and keep moving your teams forward. =D

He could have sent this to tons of managers, if one said yes does he have any valuable info for them? Have we banned him from the offsite forum?

I believe Chris and RiP already did...yes he probably have already offered this to every NT coach on BB by now...

the only thing that can really hurt us is if he tell them our tactics and lineups. Which is now impossible as he ius banned, so im pretty sure we are safe.

Honestly, I don't think he had anything useful to pass on. By the time he was banned I don't think that Mogul had updated the u21 roster with many of the new players and Rip hadn't updated the NT roster's skills in awhile so most of those players aren't even on the tracking list any more and some that are now have skill sets that look very different. I think most NT managers are like Jelme and just didn't both to listen to this random joker because they had better things to do. Even if someone did agree to his "help" I find it pretty unlikely that he saved that much info before being banned since that would take common sense and forsight. I also don't think that there's anything we can do to fix things if he did leak information.

And yes, Wozz did a stand up thing by messaging me.


I am pretty grossed out by his behaviour, but ultimately you can't let the immaturity of others get in the way of the good things, and think there are a lot of good things that Canadian BB managers are doing.
