After spending $40k/week scouting last season, below are the players i got.

At my first glance, i am confused why my first draft pick is the 9th but not the 6th, while i am standing at 6th in my league. Finally, i found that the draft pick priority based on "no. of games WIN" in two leagues. If i knew this rule before, i would lose more games to get the 6th draft pick.

Overall my draft result is the BEST by comparing with other teams, i would say it's about 70 point out of 100 full mark. If you ask me is it worth to spend $40k/week scouting in whole season, my comment is that it worth for weak team who can have better pick priority, but it must not worth if you can go through playoff. This season I would fight for the title and will only spend $10k/week scouting.

Guys, don't miss the photos link attached at the bottom, it may be very useful to you.

I'm not really fond of any of your draft picks even though the first 2 have good potential. Perhaps you can sell them to get better trainees? My reasons (aside from them being 19 already):

Player 1 - Has atrocious passing which I personally hate and it will be difficult to bring that up since he's 6'9". His stamina and outside defense are not good either which means you'd have to train him to be a PF or C. And with his atrocious passing, he's not ideal for either.

Player 2 - Also has atrocious passing and even atrocious inside shot! It will take a long time to train to make him a good PF/C. So many other low skills that will take too long to train.

Player 3 - You should just fire this player. He is not worth anything - obviously.

Well, your draft teased you. You got 2 players with really good potential, but due to their age and poor starting skills, I doubt that they will reach their potential. I think for teams at our level, you're better off with better players with lower potential. That way they can help your team win games while you train them. I would sell player 1 and 2, fire player 3 and look for better trainees on the transfer list (or continue training the same players you were training last season).
Good luck!

I agree. Player 1 is good. Can turn him into a good PF or C. But I like my big guys to be able to pass a little. That's why I would plan to sell him and look for someone I'd prefer. But it all depends on what his plans are for training them.

In next season, my training plan is still big man skills to enhance look inside tactic. Beside, I would like to develop more own country players, since I cannot buy a good & potential player in my country below 500k indeed.

Player 1 --> even he can't make a good pass, he can score inside/outside with nice driving, he would be the top scorcer in my team & I will keep him

Player 2 --> I would train his big/small skills from time to time, keep him

Player 3 --> fire him with no doubt

Not sure about player 2. Doesn't he have atrocious inside scoring? I'm not excited about trying to develop him even with his Superstar potential. But maybe you'll make more from selling him after you've trained him? But there are a lot of big men you could get cheaply and would train more effectively. But that's just me.

i stated this in the 'awesome draft!' thread in global already:

Patrick Platthaus (13312224)
Center

Weekly salary: $ 4 968

DMI: 0
Age: 19
Height: 7'3" / 221 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: respectable

Jump Shot: awful(1) Jump Range: atrocious(1)
Outside Def.: mediocre(5) Handling: respectable(7)
Driving: atrocious(1) Passing: respectable(7)
Inside Shot: average(6) Inside Def.: respectable(7)
Rebounding: average(6) Shot Blocking: respectable(7)
Stamina: awful(2) Free Throw: strong(8)

definitly no upcoming worldclass c but i'm very very happy with him. he was only the 15th pick in a very active divII and i planed to train bigmen next season anyway. he has nice height and i like his skillset with his 'secondaries' od5 hn7 ps7.
i'm glad to have him am i'm sure he can make it to my rotation some day.
----
i invested 40k/week, leagueaverage was 12-16k. this was my draftboard: http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/6694/draftclassseason1... platthaus was my 7th preference.

i will keep my second pick (preference 31) for scrimmages/throwaways/minutes to get a little more merchendise. my third pick (preference 47) went to college and is becoming a lawyer or so ;-)

Definitely you got a very good player in the draft, especially on his quite mature inside skills, but also have a wonderful handling, passing, free throw. He will be the top scorer & assist man in your team, but don't forget to build up his stamina if you want him to play enough minute to train him up.
