Hi, in cup games, do we earn money normally like in the regular season? Or shall there be no revenue increase, similar to scrimmages? I'm trying to plan ahead with my spending; I wouldn't want to make any silly mistakes ;)

You don't get any money from ticket sales you only get prize money.

The prize scale for winning a round is as follows:

Final Game: $ 300 000

Semi-Final: $ 135 000

Quarter-Final: $ 100 000

16-team round: $ 80 000

32-team round: $ 70 000

64-team round: $ 60 000

All lower rounds: $ 50 000

You get the money after each round that you win.

So if you are in a national tourney with 128 teams and you lose in the round of 16 you get:
$50k after the first win (round of 128)
$60k after the second win (round of 64)
$70k after the third win (round of 32)
$0 after you lose (round of 16)

$180k total for all the wins.

Its the luck of the draw a lot of the time. You could draw a team in the top divisons early on and be straight out or u could get a run of lower division teams and stay in for a while.

All rounds until there are 64 teams left. Depends on how many teams in your country are competing at the start as to the number of rounds this is.

what should you do if you are up against someone much better

i am up against a solid div2 team with players wages of like 40g while my best is 9g

dont think i have a shot so should i treat it like a scrimmage and just work on the training and game shape minutes or should i roll the dice

in other words do weak teams ever upset strong ones or is it like 1 in 100 or something and strictly not likley

thanks
