As you know, 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup is coming up soon! The most important event in international basketball (except Olympics) returns after 5-year break!

To celebrate that event, BB crew decided to make a prediction contest on Kicktipp (https://www.kicktipp.com/fiba-world-cup-bb/)! While you need to register on that page to take part on our competition, using it will allow us to make that contest without such amount of work, as required in forum-based predictions. Everyone is welcome to take part!
Just a reminder - prediction contest will be scored through "Quota" rules! The less popular your prediction is, the more points can you gain - therefore, correctly predicted upset can give you a big advantage over your opponents!

The values on the most far-right column represent, how big your bonus will be! Regardless of the size of the bonus (which may vary from 1 to 9), every correct result gives you additional 3 points, so you can gain from 4 to 12 points for every prediction!

Also, feel free to discuss the events of the tournament here. As a Polish GM, I'm not going to hide my favourite team. For all our community this is our first World Championship ever, so we're looking forward for making it at least to the second round. What are your hopes about tournament? Do the weakened American squad stands a chance against more experienced European rosters (with all the eyes on Serbia)? Share your opinion!

I think the most crucial question is: How well can Serbia defend USA's small ball?

Can Bjelica as a 4 or Serbian role players like Simonovic/Lucic cope with USA forwards? I don't really know.
Will the absences of Kalinic and Milosavljevic hurt Serbia in that regard? I think, it will. I never understood why they did cut Kalinic in the first place. It would be nice if a Serbian friend can enlighten us.

What are your hopes about tournament?

Other than that, as a Turkish fan I'm pissed about the drawing procedure. They arranged the pots in an incredibly silly way (I really don't think China's easy group is a coincidence) and Turkey was in the same group with USA even before the drawing started.

And now with the new format (which gives us nothing but more blowouts), you only got two tickets to QF out of two groups. One is absolutely USA and the other is probably going to be Greece. Only five games and we're out.

We probably wasn't gonna make it to QF anyway but I just don't like how it happened. Just feels like FIBA can do nothing right.

It would be nice if a Serbian friend can enlighten us.

No one knows for sure but general opinion is that reasons for his cutting are his ''home video'' and speaking about politics related to Kosovo and Serbia in one of his interviews given to Turkish media i think.

Except him few great players missing, including Milosavljević, Teodosić and Nedović..

Being grouped with Serbia and Italy (also Angola), I don't expect the Philippines to advance any further but this will be a fun experience for our players.

Oh that is just great, the best chance we might have had to win the World Cup ever and our best player decides to pussy out again. You're dead to me, Ben.
