Defense! Defense! Defense!
That was what this friendly was about. Nothing but defense. No one scored more than 12 points. The Mountaain Eagles were somewhat able to beat the Blake Street Bombers in a friendly, as in a way of saying happy birthday to tough. They edged out 67-54. The Player of the Game was no-doubt Henrique Forjaz, who wasn't even supposed to play that long. He had 10 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. here he is; "Happy BDay tough. Even though I got messed up in minutes, I'll still have to perform well in the game vs. CRF Flamengo. I still have to play. Still gotta rebound. Still gotta do what I got to do. This is our time. This is our chance. We have to capitalize." Another thing to point out was unforuneately, Esen Rabi got injured, on a play he got tripped in the quad by Marc Langevin. here he is; "man, this sucks. Got injured by the farm boy. Farm boy from Nebraska. This is bad. I hope I can comeback next week. C'mon Kruger, make me proud." Here's Kruger; "Feel bad to be a backup again. But still gotta play like I have been. I got to help N.C. out cause he already got low GS. So I have to basically put up Dekis' numbers. This is bad, but I'll rise to the occasion. Let's go." Well, it was a very hard fought defensive game, but BSB got the edge. but Blake Street Bombers' poor passing resulted in turnovers and missed shots. Here's Conroy, who got hot at 1 point in the 4th quarter; "Man, this game wasn't easy. I mean we almost lost the lead. Someone had to step up, and I guess it had to be me. So I did and I did rise. Now I gotta rise as well against CRF Flamengo. Please God, let us pull out a W. Please! Let's go and practice, cause practice makes perfect." Here's Revfi, who came in for Rabi; "Well, I hate to say this, but I was getting a crack out of GangBangs' name! It's so funny!" then he just kept laughing. We'll catch to him later. Meanwhile here's tough; "Man this was a ver tough game for us. Now is this a CRF Flamengo jr.? Or is this just a preveiw of whet will happen Saturday? We got a lto of questions to get solved. And we need a good strategy to get our guys to score. We need to win this. I think we'll do Motion tactic to get Comet. SO hopefully we can pull it off. Please God let us win. I know this is the first time we're not favorites, but we just gotta go to where-the-world-cometahalley lives to win it and get the upset. Let's go and get that win!" Here's coach Marcus Terrence; "Man this is tough. At least we cam out with a W. And we're gonna have to pull the win off wihout 7th man Rabi. This is just more adversity. Let's hope we can pull it off. C'mon team, we can do this!" Well, the Eagles are now going to Dodge Arena tomorrow and then a quick practice and head to where-the-world-cometahalley lives and practice.
