I would happily take my talents to Pakistan (<- not I'm not a James, I mean my trainees) if I was allowed to move my second team to a selected list of BB countries. As long as I can keep my 3 trainees and the arena seats (maybe with a 10%-15% haircut), I would be happy for all my other players to be put on the market and my bank account erased. Similarly I'd be happy to have no voting in the NT elections and any possible local stuff for local managers. It's like killing several birds with 1 stone really:
- have someone playing in Pakistan so that the guy(s) over there don't feel too lonely
- get more players on the transfer market
- sink money through the sale income going down the drain and erasing the bank account (if seats were portable you'd need to devise some additional measures)

I do think that the population under a certain number is unsustainable and will inevitably go to 0.Filling 1 league everywhere would remove at least one of the problems people who sign up in nations like Pakistan face.

Yeah I read several times that teams are needed for the international competitions, but my reasoning is that, with some exceptions, most of the guys who start playing in an league with mostly bots will not stick around for long, also because they don't have any progression to look forward to. If you start in DV it's an accomplishment in itself to reach DI one day, these guys, they just start in DI or DII and they play bots more often than not or human teams they can't hope to beat for several seasons..

Might just be easier to aggregate nations into macro-nations whilst keeping one's home-based as the local country. Think KHL (sans Putin on Skates and money) in Hockey and so forth.

We have too many nations for the number of users we have.

BB is about a 10 nation size right now. 20 tops. We have 70 or so too many DIs.

We got 99 nations but...

The problem is, that there is no solid plan on how to merge all the nations and plenty users would be in a position to lose status/money/players... A full reset would be a possible option, but then again many many people would quit instanteniously.

Right now its too fudged up to be fixed without major damage inflicted... So probably leaving it as it is and doing nothing (like usual) is the only way to go.

Taking the 20% or so in the 70 too many nations and merging them wont impact their main customers meanwhile opening the door to the 20% or so to stop shrinking and expand a little.

I wanted to start a discussion on this topic, but unfortunately it was labelled as a suggestion and thus moved to the trashcan (suggestions-board).

I think the game would be sustainable with like two dozen nations, wiping out the other countries would only affect like 10% of the users.

I myself would not like to play in a big nation, as I am used the non-existing difficulty and adapting to a more challenging way to play the game would be a tough pill to swallow. But on the other hand, countries with less than a full Div II are boring as hell.

So maybe removing the micronations with less than 50 users AND changing the league structure for smaller countries to a 1-2-4-8, or even 1-1-2-4 (DIV I, 2, 3, 4) pyramid, could help too.
